"Do you really have to go?" Lauren asked her boyfriend pouting.

"I'm sorry babe, but I'll be back tomorrow." Luis answered placing a soft kiss on Lauren's forehead.

"I'll miss you." Lauren told him sadly.

"I know baby girl, I'll miss you too."

After a very important call from his dad, Luis had to go back to Miami as soon as possible, leaving Lauren alone in New York for the first time in a very long time. When the band split up, and the young green eyed singer decided to apply to NYU, her boyfriend was more than happy to go with her, knowing that she probably needed a lot of support after her dream had been taken away from her.

During the first few months of her college experience Lauren was miserable. Luis had to help her during a numerous series of panics attacks Lauren couldn't really explain. Her chest felt constricted and the lack of oxygen made her dizzy and nauseous. The inevitable tears just made everything worse, leaving Lauren unconsolably crying and gasping for air.

Choosing a place so far away from home was a decision that shocked a lot of people. Being away from her family and friends was actually the hardest thing for Lauren when Fifth Harmony was still together. Whenever she had to go back to L.A. after spending some time home, Lauren was the one who suffered the most, and always ended up crying on Camila's shoulder when they were in the plane back to California. Having someone to travel with kinda made things better though, especially because Camila had been Lauren's rock throughout most of their journey, but it was still a big deal for the green eyed Miami native.

Camila on the other hand, didn't have such a horrible time. Of course she missed her sister and parents when she wasn't home, but other than a couple of childhood friends, Camila didn't really have a lot of people to miss in Miami. Back in high school, she had only established a couple of friendships, and she wasn't really that close to any of them. But she had to be there to console her bandmate, who clearly dreaded going back to L.A. Camila was actually the one who always had to wipe the tears away from Lauren's face at the airport and later on the plane, but she loved making her best friend feel better.

"Why don't you call Camila? See if she can keep you company while I'm gone and maybe help you with some wedding related stuff or something. It'll be good to you to keep yourself busy." Luis suggested kindly knowing her girlfriend would probably struggle in his absence.

"Did you just tell me to call Camila? Also known as your biggest enemy and the eternal reason for your jealousy?" Lauren asked surprised.

"I'm not jealous of her, okay?" He clarified rolling his eyes. "But, yeah, I want you to be happy and I know you two have fun together, so why the hell not? It's not like you are gonna cheat on me with her." Luis joked, but deep inside he knew the possibility was there. He trusted Lauren wouldn't do something like that, but Camila had always been a threat.

Lauren laughed softly at her boyfriend's insinuation, but the memories of the kisses Camila and her had shared flooded her mind. Lauren hadn't given much importance to both secret encounters, but truth be told, even though she had tried, she couldn't forget about the times she had cheated on her boyfriend with her best friend.

"I appreciate your concern, but I'll be fine babe. I have to study for a calculus test so I'll be more than busy with that." Lauren told the tall man with an assuring smile. She knew having Camila over wasn't the best idea, especially when she hadn't been able to stop thinking about her since the young singer's meet and greet.

"Okay." Luis said softly and rubbed his girlfriend's cheek lovingly. "I have to get going. I'll call you when I get home, okay?" He added grabbing his suitcase and planted a kiss on Lauren's lips.
