"It's 2:30 in the morning Lauren, we should get going." Camila told Lauren, who had clearly had a few too many drinks.

The two friends had been talking and laughing for over four hours. The smokey setting of the bar Lauren had chosen looked like it had been taken out of a movie. The loud music made it barely possible to hold a conversation, but Lauren loved that place and used to go there often while her friends partied at frat houses. She felt safe there, no one judged her and no one knew who she was.

"But I don't want to go, I'm having fun here." She answered with a smile and gestured towards the bartender asking for more drinks.

"I know, I'm having fun too, but Luis is going to kill me if I don't take you back to your dorm soon." Camila explained nervously.

"God, Camz loosen up, you're killing me here." Lauren complained taking a long sip from the alcoholic drink in front of her and pushed her friend's glass closer to her. "Where's the fun Camila I knew?"

"Right here, but you have a boyfriend who..."

"My boyfriend, yes my boyfriend." Lauren finished Camila's sentence mockingly. "Who gives a damn about him? He's a jealous asshole, and I'm tired of trying to convince him I love him." She added bitterly and finished her drink.

That statement made Camila's heart beat twice as fast as usual. Lauren had just accepted she was tired of her boyfriend, but she had also reassured she was in love with him. He was jealous though, he was jealous of Camila and that had to mean something.

Lauren's relationship had been a huge deal back when the band was together. Several fans doubted the veracity of "Lauis", which drove Lauren insane. It had become a horrible habit of hers to mention the fact that she had a boyfriend every time she could, but she felt like she had to do so to prove Luis and her were really together.

"Why would he be jealous?" Camila questioned interestedly, but not sure if it had been wise to introduce that subject.

"Because you have always been a threat. I have no fucking clue why though, but yeah." Lauren replied honestly under the inevitable effects of alcohol, confirming Camila's suspicions about the reason for Luis's behavior.

"That's ridiculous." Camila chuckled nervously and grabbed the alcoholic beverage resting in front of her, trying the illegal taste of whisky for the first time that night.

"I know, right? Try to convince Luis though, he's so stubborn." Lauren groaned loudly. "But, enough about him. I'm gonna marry his ass anyway, so I might as well get used to it."

Camila took another long drink from her glass and tried to hide the evident disgusted look on her face, not really being a heavy drinker at all.

"Now that's the Camila I like." Lauren teased her friend with a wink and ordered another drink for herself.

"I think you should stop drinking." Camila said taking the dense liquid away from her friend.

"And I think you should mind your own damn business." Lauren replied with a grin and regained the possession of her glass. "Ugh I love this song!" She suddenly exclaimed when a very familiar song started playing.

"Me too." Camila answered and felt the memories flood her mind. Had Lauren forgotten what this song meant to them?

"We've got one thing in common, it's this tongue of mine..." Lauren started mumbling the lyrics of Sex by The 1975 with a huge smirk plastered on her face.

"She said, she's got a boyfriend anyway..." Camila joined in, giving her former bandmate a meaningful look.

Their music taste was scarily similar. Camila and Lauren seemed like completely different persons in several aspects, but they shared a love for the same music artists. The 1975 was one of those groups both Latinas enjoyed. Lauren had the biggest crush on Matty Healy, and truly admired the British singer, so when Ally offered her tickets for their concert in L.A., Lauren was more than happy to go, and invited Luis who was just in the city visiting her.
