It was almost 10 pm, at naghihintay ako sa Sarang Beach. Pinili ko na rin na maagang magpunta dahil ang ganda ng view dito tuwing gabi. Beach Camp Idols introduced me to the beauty of beaches at night.
I looked at my wristwatch, at nakita na 10 pm na, and at the same time ay nakarinig ako ng running footsteps sa likod ko kasabay ng tunog ng paghampas ng mga alon sa may lupa.
When I turned around, however, ay agad akong sinalubong ng mahigpit na yakap ni Jin. His arms wrapped tightly around me as if he was scared to let go, at kung humiwalay siya ay mawawala na ako. I hugged him back, and then heard him sobbing. Huh?
Bakit siya umiiyak?
"Jin? Bakit ka umiiyak?" Tanong ko, at hindi muna siya nagsalita. Nang makasigurado na siyang tumahan na siya ay nagsalita naman na siya.
"I'm sorry, Hanjin. Hinayaan kita na harapin lahat yun ng mag-isa. Hinayaan kita na harapin yung problema natin na mag-isa. Heck, dapat nandun ako at dapat tinulungan kita, pero wala ako. Mapatawad mo sana ako Hanjin. Hindi ko kayang mawala ka," sabi ni Jin, and I looked down and started caressing his hair.
"It's okay, Jin. Naiintindihan ko. Wala na tayong magagawa sa nangyari sa past. Nasa past na natin yun at wag dapat tayong nagkukulong sa mga pangyayari ng nakaraan. I learned that the hard way," sabi ko, and he pulled away at nginitian ako.
He then placed his hands on both of my cheeks, and smiled at me. I then smiled back at him. Namiss ko siya.
"I forgot to tell you something," he whispered, and then looked up at the stars kaya ay napatingin din ako dun at napangiti sa ganda nito.
"What is it?" I asked, and he sighed.
"I fell for you, Hanjin. Hard. I'm not rushing you to accept me kung hindi ka pa handa, but let me court you. I will get you the right way, at hindi yung basta basta nalang. Hihintayin ko yung mapapasakin ka sa tamang paraan. Because I like you, Hanjin. Joaheyo," sabi niya, and I smiled softly at him and nodded.
"Ang drama mo din pala, no? But it's cute. You're cute," sabi ko, and chuckled as I placed my hands on top of his.
"Duh. Alam ko yun. I'm worldwide handsome," sabi niya, making the both of us laugh.
Umupo naman na ako sa sand, and gazed at the stars. Naramdaman ko na umupo siya sa tabi ko, and then reached for my hand so I let him.
I've never felt this kind of feeling in so long.
Happy and contented. That was what I felt. I never thought of what the others thought of us anymore, all I ever cared about was that he was here, and we were okay now.
"Hey. Why didn't the dog star laugh at his own joke?" Jin asked, and I looked at him and chuckled.
"Because it was too Sirius," I said, smirking at him. Gulat naman siyang tumingin sa akin, and I laughed at his reaction.
"Ha?! Paano mo nalaman yan?!" Tanong ni Jin, making me laugh out loud.
"Duh, being around you for too long before trained me," sabi ko, and he chuckled.
