Brook

Like how God promised, He remained faithful in my life—in our lives. God has taught me forgiveness. For so long, I haven't given attention of the hatred that lived in my heart towards my father. Most of all, the hatred that I have been giving to myself for so many years. With my precious little Dos and my other angel coming, I have no more time to live in hatred. I have released forgiveness to everyone and it's what made me the happiest right now.

"Seriously Dos, Gabriella's fine about it. Pwede kayong mauna ni Brook na magpakasal. Besides, you two are having a baby." I heard Uno talking to Dos.

"Kuya, gusto ni Brook na manganak muna bago magpakasal."

Right.

"I see. It's funny, isn't it?"

"Funny? What?" Dos cluelessly snapped.

"Remember years ago? Maraming babaeng pumupunta sa bahay, sinasabing nabuntis ng isa sa Palmer Brothers?"

"Ugh. Tsk. Who would forget? Ako lagi ang tinutulak niyong nakabuntis."

"Yeah." Nagtawanan silang magkapatid. "That's because I was so sure that you're going to be the first one to give a grandchild to mom and dad. It's funny that I never get wrong."

"Yabang nito." Ani ng naaasar na si Dos.

"Hey bro, guess what?" Nakangising hirit pa ni Uno. "Sa tingin ko, una rin kayong ikakasal."

"Yeah. The heck we will. Because you know why?" "You're slow. You're a loser bro."

"Gago."

"Perfect adjective." Sagot ni Dos. "For yourself."

And Six and Seven are like twins, not because they have the same face but because they're so close. Hindi halos mapaghiwalay.

When everyone knew about my pregnancy, lahat sila tumutol na umuwi ako ng Cebu. Kahit nakakahiya, wala akong nagawa kundi sundin ang gusto nilang dumito sa kanila mag-stay. In just two or three weeks, I really became so close to Gabriella because firstly, she's an angel and secondly, she loves cooking too! That happens almost everyday. My favorite part about it is hearing the funny stories from tita Demi herself about her lovestory and stories about the naturally-perfect-looking Palmer brothers. Uhm. Not my description. I just quoted the adjective Dos used to describe him and his siblings.

"Baby." Dos called out from nowhere and just snaked his arms around my waist without an initial notice. He just appeared from nowhere while I'm busy fixing his things inside the closet. "I told you to rest. Why are you not listening to me?"

"Dos, stop overreacting. I'm just folding and arranging neatly your stuff here. It's not like I'm going to exert a great amount of force by doing it. Besides..." I pouted. "I'm really bored."

"Let's play video games."

"What? When did you ever see me do that?" I exclaimed.

"Um. I got you to try that before when it was just you and me at the condo. Remember?"

"It's barely five minutes and I quit."

"Right. But baby, you should learn playing video games." He said as if it is  a significant thing to do. That got me laughing my heart out. "Brook, I'm serious."

"Okay. Tell me Palmer, why in the world should I teach myself how to play a video game?" The jerk smirked at me.

"You should." He answered and then kissed me quick on the lips. "Otherwise, you'll be left out."
