Anyway, there's more money in the gaming world that people ever thought there is. And my husband whose life in his younger days revolved around games, decided to pursue it as hobby and as a career. He still does engineering and architectural works but most of the time, he plays game. According to him, it's much better than working in the office because he can just stay home and watch over our precious children.
"Mahal, umuwi na si DJ?" Tanong ni Dos na kararating lang sa kusina. Naghahanda ako ng meryenda para kay Ali at sa mga kaklase niya. Naggo-group study kasi ang mga 'to.
"Mukhang hindi pa. Love, paki-check mo nga si Brie at Cali. Baka nag-aaway na naman 'yon." Brie and Cali are our twins, nine year old twins. The rest are girls, mean girls to be exact. Phew.
"Mom!"
"What did Cali do this time, Brie?" I asked her.
"She threw away my stuff. Mom, dad!" She narrated in her perky tiny voice. "You know how precious those pens are to me."
She's so good in arts, calligraphy to be particular. Because of that, she has this huge collection of pens that cost her father something extravagant too. But that is not our concern for today.
Dos and I ran to their room where we caught Cali laughing. What is she doing? Quickly, I shifted my eyes around until I spotted a camera on the corner.
"It's a success, Cali Angels. We've pissed off my twin. It's a successful prank." She said after letting out her tiny chuckles. "Well, that's all for today's video. Don't forget to comment how savage our prank is today and if you have suggestions on what to do next with Brie, comment down angels. And of course, don't forget to like and subscribe! Shooo. Fly away angels."
"Oooh. Um. Hi there mom. Hi dad." She greeted normally. When Dos and I just gave her a questioning look, she uttered her famous line. "What did Brie tell you this time?" She asked rolling her eyeballs.
"Why don't we begin this conversation with you telling me and your dad about what you're doing?"
"Mom. I did nothing." She lied.
"Turn that camera off." Utos kong nagpalaki ng mata niya. Lumapit siya sa camera at pinatay 'yon. She returned in front of us, wearing her well-practiced puppy eyes.
"Cali, when did you hear your mom lying to me?" Tanong ni Dos.
"Not a single time." She answered straight-forwardly.
"When did she ever lie to you and your siblings?"
"She did once. She promised to get me that pair of jersey that I want." She loves sports and loves those who are best in it. In her young age, she keeps babbling how much she loves Jordan Spieth, Roger Federer, Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo and Stephen Curry. I bet you know who those men are.
"Cali. She tried and lying is different from not being able to fulfill a promise because of a valid reason. Your mom told you it was no longer available. She got you one—"
"Which is not what I want."
"Because your mom tried. Now Cali, explain what you were doing earlier."
