Chapter 17

"CoCo stop" I giggled.

School was already over and Zach went on a secret mission as he told me. Jackson was going to go with him but Zach said he needed to be alone.

So Jackson was in the shower as Cody tickled me.

"Never!" he smirked.

I continued to laugh as he stopped to give me a few seconds of breathing freely.

"Ok! I'll give you a long hug just please don't tickle me" I begged.

He smiled and sat up as I sat up as well.

"You know I'm really ticklish" I pouted.

"You're so cute Sunshine" he laughed.

He hugged me tightly as I hugged him back.

"Was Zachy sad today?" I questioned.

"To be honest with you Sunshine, I really don't know. But he wasn't his normal self, that's why he wanted to go on his secret mission all alone" he said softly.

"Will he be ok?"

"It's Zach, of course he will be ok."

I laughed and after another minute we pulled away.

We sat on the couch as I checked the time.

"I need to get home before 5 and Jackson is taking too long" I mumbled.

"Let me take you, you have 6 minutes to be home" he said.

"Are you sure?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I've met your parents before. I'll just tell Jackson I dropped you off" he shrugged.

I agreed and put my shoes on. We walked out to his car and he quickly drove away.

"I should probably tell him though."

"He'll be fine Sunshine, I'll be back home in 5 minutes anyways I'll just tell him. But if you are really worried then text him."

I nodded and sent him a quick text.

Me: I had to be home before 5 and you were taking too long. CoCo just took me home. I'll see you tomorrow JJ😚❤️

I sent Cody a smile as we pulled into my driveway.

"I'll see you in school tomorrow. Bye CoCo" I smiled.

I kissed his cheek as I grabbed my bag and skipped up the driveway to my front door.

"Mom! I'm home!" I called out.

"I'm making dinner sweetheart!"

I took my shoes off and picked them up as I kissed my mom's cheek.

"I'll be doing homework in my room, is dad home?"

"Um no, he went on a business trip for a few weeks actually" she said quietly.

"Oh ok, tell him to text me when he can" I smiled.

I went up to my room and dumped all my things on the floor as I took out my biology homework.

JJ❤️: You should have knocked on the door

Me: CoCo offered to drive me and my mom would have been mad. I'm sorry

JJ❤️: Whatever Kiari.

Me: please don't be mad JJ:(

Me: JJ??

Me: please don't be mad at meee😭

Me: Jackson??

Me: ok, I'm sorry I upset out. I'll have my mom take me to school tomorrow

I placed my phone on my nightstand as I wiped my tears away.

I didn't mean to upset him. I don't want him mad at me. I didn't think that was wrong, I needed to be home.

My phone started ringing and Jackson's name popped up.

"Hello?" I sniffled.

"Awh baby don't cry I'm sorry. I'm not mad I promise" he cooed.

I sniffed again and wiped my eyes.

"Are you sure JJ, I didn't mean to upset you" I whispered.

"I promise it's ok, I was just a little sad but I'm ok now. Don't cry love" he said softly.

I nodded even though he couldn't see.

"Kiari! Dinner is ready!" mom called out.

"I have to go dinner is ready, I'll see you tomorrow" I said.

"Can I call you before you go to bed?"

"Yeah, Bye JJ."

I hung up and went downstairs.

After dinner I did all my homework and took a shower. I blow dried it and got into my avocado pj's as I jumped into bed.

I called Jackson and he immediately answered.

"Hi princess" he said softly.

"Hi JJ" I yawned.

He immediately FaceTimed me as I plugged in my phone and rested it against my nightstand.

"I'm sorry I got a little mad earlier" he said.

"It's ok, I didn't mean to make you mad though" I whispered.

I saw him smile as he laid in bed.

"Did Zachy get there yet?" I questioned.

"Yeah, an hour ago, why?" he asked.

"He seemed sad today and I wanted to know if he was ok" I sighed.

"Yeah he is ok, he seems better though. You can give him a hug tomorrow, I'm sure that will help him."

I smiled and my eyes began to droop.

"You're so cute Kiari it's insane" he said.

I blushed and cuddled into my blankets.

"You're so cute too JJ."

"I'm not cute princess, I'm handsome or sexy. Either one is fine" he said as I saw him smirk.

I giggled and opened one eye.

"You definitely are" I said with a blush.

I saw him smile as I covered my mouth with my blankets.

"God you are so perfect and you don't even realize."
