I wore my white slip on vans instead today and sprayed myself making sure I smell like coconuts.

"Morning mom! Morning dad!" I smiled as I got to the kitchen.

"Morning sweetheart" mom smiled.

"Good morning darling, but don't you think that skirt is a little too short? I think you should go change it" dad said.

"You don't like it?" I asked quietly.

My eyes blurred and I frowned.

I'm extremely sensitive, I cry over pretty much anything that upsets me the tiniest bit.

"No you look beautiful, don't listen to your father" mom said and smacked my dad on the head.

"You do look beautiful darling, I'm sorry" dad said.

I smiled and ate waffles my mom made me.

When I got to school my mom kissed my forehead as I walked to my locker.

"Oh if it isn't the little skank" a girl sneered.

Skank?

I don't remember my mom telling me about that word.

"Um hello, I'm Kiari. What's your name?" I asked politely.

"Ok twinkle toes you listen and you listen good. You stop talking to my boyfriend or something really bad will happen to you" she warned while she ignored my question.

"Who's your boyfriend?" I questioned.

"Jackson" she growled.

"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't know he was your boyfriend. I'll stay back" I said.

"Don't talk back to me! Just remember I warned you" she glared.

She walked off and I furrowed my eyebrows.

Did I talk back? I didn't mean to I was just apologizing.

I finished at my locker and shut it. I gasped when I saw Jackson, Zach and Cody standing there.

"Hey!" I smiled.

They all said hi and Jackson went to hug me but I stepped back.

"Your girlfriend got jealous so I can't do that. I'm sorry Jackson but I have to respect her" I said politely.

"Girlfriend?" they questioned.

"Yeah a girl came here not too long ago and told me to not talk to you. I didn't mean to make her jealous so I'm not going to be as close" I said.

They stayed silent before they all looked at each other.

"Megan" they said lowly.

How do they talk at the same time?

"Princess that girl wasn't my girlfriend, she likes to think she is. You don't have to stop talking to me, ok?" he said softly.

"If you say so JJ" I smiled.

I gave each of them a hug and Zach and Cody walked off to their class while Jackson walked with me to ours.

"You look beautiful by the way, although that skirt is a little too short" he said.

"Is that bad?" I asked with a frown.

"Yes and no" he mumbled.

I let it go and he put his arm around my shoulders while I saw him glare at people who looked in our direction.

*lunch*

"Hey princess why aren't you eating?" Jackson asked as they walked up to my table.

"My mom didn't make me a lunch last night. There was money on the table from her and dad to get lunch today but I don't know how" I said.

"I'll get you something sunshine, what would you like?" Cody asked.

"A smoothie! No wait, a fruit bowl! No! Ooohhh I know! I want pizza!"

"Um, ok" he laughed.

He walked off and Jackson sat next to me.

"I have a question" I said.

"Ok, shoot" Zach said.

"What's a skank?" I asked.

Jackson spit out his water as Cody came back with pizza and a smoothie.

"Thanks CoCo!" I beamed.

"What's up with him?" Cody asked as he pat Jackson on the back.

"The innocent one asked what a skank was" Zach laughed.

I furrowed my eyebrows as they started laughing as Jackson was breathing heavily.

"Why do you want to know?" Jackson asked.

"Because someone called me it today and I don't remember my mom teaching me that word" I explained.

"Who called you that pumpkin?" Zach asked.

"That girl, what was her name? Megan?" I questioned.

They growled and I flinched slightly.

"Wait, but what is a skank?" I asked.

"It's a bad word princess don't say it" Jackson sighed.

"I'm sorry JJ" I pouted.

I played with my fingers and someone wrapped their arms around me.

"It's ok, now you know not to say it" Jackson whispered in my ear.

I nodded and started eating.

*after school*

"Bye CoCo! Bye Zachy!" I smiled.

I gave them both a hug as they kissed the top of my head.

"I'll see you at home" Cody told Jackson.

He nodded and walked off.

"You guys live with each other?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"What about their families?" I questioned.

"They will tell you on their own time princess, but my mom doesn't mind them living with us" he explained.

I nodded and he pulled me into a hug.

"JJ my mom is here" I laughed.

"I know, just let me hug you beautiful."

He put his head in my neck as I laughed.

"That tickles!" I squealed.

"You're too cute Kiari" he said softly.

I blushed and buried my head in his shoulder.

"You are really sweet JJ" I said.

"Only to you princess."

I smiled and he hugged me tighter.

"My mom is waiting for me" I said after a few minutes.

He sighed and slowly pulled away.

"Can you call me later?" he asked.

"Of course!" I squealed.

He laughed and rubbed my shoulder softly.

"I'll talk to you later, bye beautiful."

"Bye JJ!" I beamed.
