"Honey, we are having guests over tonight for dinner" mom said as she closed her bag.

"Really? Who?" I questioned as I finished off my breakfast.

"One of my clients, she is bringing her twins over for dinner. So I'm going to need you to come straight home after school" she said.

"Ok, but is it ok if Jackson stays for dinner too?"

"I suppose not, I'll see you after work."

She quickly left and I waited for Jackson.

I smiled at the text and fixed my skirt.

I heard a honk and I grabbed my bag and rushed to his car.

"Beautiful as always" he smiled softly.

I smiled and blushed as I thanked him quietly.

*after school*

"Oh do you want to stay for dinner? My mom is having guests over" I said as we pulled into my driveway.

"I actually need to do something with Zach in about an hour, sorry princess" he said.

I frowned and nodded.

"It's ok, I'll see you tomorrow" I said sadly as I opened the door.

"Wait, actually I can come over after. I'll try and make it quick so I can still have dinner" he said softly.

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Thank you! I'll see you later JJ!"

I skipped up the driveway and in the house to see my mom already preparing dinner.

"Do you need any help?" I asked.

"You go and do homework if you have any and when you're done you can help me" she suggested.

I nodded and rushed upstairs to do my math homework.

After an hour and a half the bell rang and I glanced at my mom.

"Do you want me to get it?" I questioned as I wiped my hands.

"Yeah, I need to take the lasagna out of the oven."

I nodded and opened the door with a smile.

"Hello!" I smiled.

"Hi! You must be Kiari" the woman said.

I nodded and opened the door wider.

"I'm Mrs. Johnson but you can call me Lydia. These are my kids Ross and Monica" she smiled.

"Hello!"

They both smiled at me and the boy looked me up and down making me shift uncomfortably.
