Chapter 30

Johnny's POV

I started to explain everything that happened with Lilly. I couldn't read her facial expression so I didn't know if she believed me or not. "I love you so much, Florence, that it actually hurts. I know that you probably will never forgive me but you just need to know that you are the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, grow old with and have children with. I love you with all my heart Florence. I promised myself I would never hurt you like Dallas did but I broke that promise." I looked down knowing that she probably won't believe me but it was worth a shot. She then did the unexpected.

"I believe you Johnny. I love you too and the fact that you're pouring your heart out to me is good enough for me. You don't know how much that hurt seeing you like that with her. You're nothing like Dallas, I see that now." I looked up with hopeful eyes and she had a small smile on her face. I couldn't help but smile.

"So, Florence Matthews, will you be my girl again?" She smiled showing her white teeth.

She nodded her head. "Of course, Johnny Cade." I got up and hugged her and she hugged back. I went to pull away but she pulled me back. "Sit with me?" I couldn't help but smirk.

"Sure." I climbed under the covers with her and laced our fingers together. She smiled up at me and gave me a quick peck on the lips. "I think I want some more. I mean I haven't kissed you in months and it has pained me." She just laughed and kissed me again. Longer this time. The kiss was filled with love and was passionate. I knew right then and there that I wanted to marry Florence Matthews, I wanted to make her a Cade.

We were sat there cuddling when the gang walked in and stared at us. "So, uh, you two back together?" Florence just nodded not taking her eyes off the tv. I just chuckled at her response. Two-Bit glared at me.

"Hurt her one more time and I'll kill ya. Get it?" I nodded quickly because I knew he was telling the truth. I guess Florence sensed I was nervouse because she spoke up.

"Hey, Keith, guess what?" He looked at her.

"What?"

"Shut up. Mickeys on tv." Everyone chuckled and sat back down to watch mickey.

Soon Darry came back with chcolate cake in his hands. "I believe a Florence Matthews requested this?"

"That would be mine. Now hand it over. I feel like I haven't had a slice of this in a life time." He gave her the cake and she cut a piece off and started eating it.

"Can I have a peice, Flo?" Steve gave her puppy dog eyes.

"Aw, when you look so cute and put it like that." She paused and looked at the cake. "No." Everyone burst out laughing and Steve just glared at her while she smirked at him.

"But I'm your choclate cake buddy."

"Fine come here." He smiled and walked over to her. She stroked her hand down his face leaving a trail of choclate cake behind. "Enjoy." She smiled at him and then went back to eating it.

This is how it should be. All of us, together. One big happy family. I finally feel like the hole in my heart was filled with people that really cared about me and loved me. I loved them and nothing could tear us apart, nothing. I just wish it would stay like this...
