Selena's first day of school as a child was simple. She put on a pink dress and her purple backpack behind her and had a wide smile in front of the mirror, she brushed her short fluffy brown hair and went to her mother's room kissing her hand.

"Be careful okay?" Her mother told her, and she nodded excitedly.

"Bye, mom!" She said as she left the house, skipping happily to her school and with the guidance of her father, she went to school. Nothing seemed better than parents seeing their children's first day of school after all.

Terry's first day of school wasn't really simple, Maple was there standing and brushing his hair using her power to brush his hair without using his hand, and Terry was getting annoyed.

"Brush my hair using your hand!" He shouted at her, and Maple just smiled at him.

"But my hand is too dirty for your head milord."

Terry just glared at Maple, as Maple went to the cabinet and took out a box filled with skin powder. The dust from the skin powder came everywhere on the table, and Terry was coughing because of the dust, he hated dust since he was very young because of this.

"Why do we have to disguise?" He asked, glaring at Maple.

"Well because humans don't like us, milord, until the construction of our Vampire Island is complete, you have to look as human as possible!"

"When is this thing going to be completed?"

"Well, probably in decades."

He sighed and put on the skin powder, and she gave him contact lenses to put on his eyes to cover the fact he has red eyes. Maple grabbed a black hoodie and pulled the hood on top of his head and gave him black sunglasses, and a face mask to cover his fangs, she pulled his hand towards the door, opening it gently with her hand and looked at him smiling.

"Just don't get too close to those humans kay? Humans are pretty attached, it'd be bad for us."

He sighed.

At school, the first person he met was Selena, she put her backpack down on the floor and turned to look at Terry, "is that a new fashion for kids?" She asked him as Terry got pissed off hearing that, but he was thinking that human just isn't worth fighting for.

Terry

I just have to follow what Maple said, humans are fragile, don't fight them. A little bit of push and they might break, so, I need to keep myself calm.

I sat with this girl in a pink dress. Although I shortened it to Sel because it was a mouthful for me. The teacher told us to cut something, and she was cutting it carelessly, her finger started bleeding and I could see blood, delicious smelling blood flowing from her finger, and I held myself in, and she turned in my direction.

"Uhh, can you get me a plaster?"

In an instant, I dashed to the teacher, tugging on her clothes begging for her to put a plaster on her finger before I went crazy and start biting this girl. I don't want to expose the fact that I am a vampire on the first day of school. The teacher wrapped a plaster on her finger, and she continued cutting stuff as I passed those papers to her.

Then after a while, the teacher asked about our ambitions, and I spelt 'Artist' as 'Artest' so, the teacher told me to spell it with an 'i' on it.

When she got to the pink dress girl, she clapped her hands, the girl wrote 'Explorer' and she was smiling brightly.

"What's that dear?" The teacher asked, smiling brightly at her.
