________________________________________________________________________________
Fall of 2007, at an amusement park in Las Vegas, Nevada
You and Bruno got off the roller coaster breathing heavily, trying to catch all the breaths the roller coaster stole from you during your ride. Bruno reached out and offered his hand to you. He guided you over to bench where the two of you had a seat then he motioned to you that he would be right back and he walked off toward the concession stands. He returned with two bottles of water, one of which he offered to you. You both cracked the seals on your bottles and took long a long sip at the same time. When you came up for air you looked over at each other and laughed. You set your water bottles aside and his eyes settled on you. He offered you his hand and without thinking you took it. He pursed his lips but before he could say anything, you spoke up.
"You're gonna say something crazy aren't you," you said as you raised an eyebrow at him. He smiled and gave your hand a squeeze. He looked you in the eyes and his cheeks that rose just a before because of his smile, seemed to be momentarily stuck in place.
"I think...I wanna marry you."
Suddenly everything around the two of you and him slowed down. The roller coasters inched along their tracks, the spinning rides seemed to rotate as slow as the earth moves in its orbit around the sun and all the lights that surrounded the two of you flashed slowly almost as though they were are all in time with one another rather than on their own separate timers. He squeezed your hand again.
"What do you say?" Your chest began to pound as he stared deeply into your eyes. Unable to speak you nodded slowly.
"F'real? You mean it?" he asked as a grin swept across his face. You cover your mouth as his eyes widen. He leaned toward you as to ask again without speaking. You nodded quickly. He stood quickly and pulled you to your feet. Before you knew it the two of you were in his car driving back to your hotel. You raced up to your hotel room and picked out the nicest clothing your brought with you. You chose a little white thin strapped sundress that fell past your knees; the top layer of the dress has a cute lace design made of tiny circles. You walked into the bathroom narrowing avoiding bumping into Bruno as he exited. You drew you flayaways out of your face and then got to work refreshing your makeup. Once you reapply-ed your nude lipstick you let your hair down and adjusted it around your face. There was a blur behind you then Bruno's face appeared next to yours. You felt is hands come around your waist.
"You look beautiful," he said as he drew you to him. He kissed your cheek then looked back at the mirror with you.
"Come on," he said as he let you go and walked back into the room. You joined him and he walked over to the door where he leaned against the wall to the left of the door with his hands in his pockets. He's was a white shirt button down with a pair of pale grey trousers with dark brown loafers without socks, as usual. You always wondered why he didn't wear any but at that point it was common place. You had convinced him to get his hair cut right before your trip, his curls were a contained sort of messy, pilled up on top of his head and the sides and back of his head are shaved low. His sleeves were rolled up just short of elbows and the top three buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned. His gold crucifix glints in the light. As you started to draw your eyes away from him and he winked at you. You smirked then took a seat and strapped on your simple light brown leather sandals. Then you stood and join him at the door; he opened it.
