As you walk into the kitchen you phone buzzes and you quickly glance over the new notifications. You're just about to set it down another message pops up. You pull up your text log with Bruno. You raise your finger to the 'call' button but, you end up putting your phone down. You put on your brewer for coffee, and grab your favorite mug, sugar and the caramel syrup you only use occasionally but just had to buy. Next, you grab some instant oatmeal and a bowl and put it to warm while you go through your usual purse and switch to a smaller cross-body bag. Just as you set it down, your phone sounds. You reach for it and see Bruno on screen with his guitar in his lap and his hand reaching toward the phone. You answer the call and prop your phone up so he can see you.
"Hey you," you him say. Bruno is casually dressed and seated on a couch with a guitar in his lap. "Going somewhere?" You smirk.
"Apartment hunting, actually." You grab your oatmeal and stir it.
"Something wrong with your current place?" He asks softly picking at the strings. The warmth of the sound seems to shift into the same feeling in his eyes. From what you can see, he's wearing a black trucker hat with the 'Moonshine Jungle' on the under-side of the brim and short-sleeved shirt with a simple black and white paisley-like pattern that repeats itself over and over. Has on his usual two gold chains: his crucifix with his wedding band on it and his Versace spiral. The guitar he's using looks old and familiar, it may be one of his first.
"Nothing technically," you reply in a honeyed voice. His dark brown eyes are on yours and his left dimple begins dents his cheek. He stops playing and shifts the guitar in his lap and rests on it instead, leaning in closer to the camera.
"Then..?"
"I want a fresh start. As long as Asher knows where I live, he might think he still has a chance." You set your bowl down and spoon some oatmeal into your mouth.
"He's still bothering you?" Bruno leans forward a bit and his shoulders square. Your cheek twitches and you find yourself smirking.
"Not that I've noticed yet---not since I got back from Vegas anyway. I just need a change; a fresh start, you know?" He nods.
"Fair enough. Need some help?" He sets the guitar down out of frame and turns you watch as the phone rises up to his face and begins moving with him. You quickly finish your oatmeal and go over to your door to put on your shoes.
"Actually yeah, you busy?"
"Nah, I don't have anything pressing to do." You hear the sound of bare feet against hardwood in the background as Bruno's background changes and he looks around ahead of him.
"I'm going to some showings," you say as you pick up your phone with one hand and put one of your wireless earbuds in with your free hand.
"How are we gonna do this?" he asks chuckling. "I can't exactly---"
"I'll just keep you on call," you manage to say through a laugh.
"I'll show you around while I look."
"Got it." You step out of your apartment, lock the door behind and head out to your car.
While you dry to the first apartment, you talk to Bruno about random things and watch as he casually goes about whatever he's doing. You make your way up to the apartment and pull out your phone turn your phone camera back on as you enter so that Bruno can see. You speak to the agent briefly and then go about exploring the apartment. Bruno makes comments as you go and by the time you've looked at all the apartments with him, you've decided which ones you like. He helps you narrow them down by your specifics: how close it is to your job/how long it will take you to get to work on a normal day, the amenities, other personal specifics and of course price range.
