You get up early, get dressed and drive over to the Police Stations with Danni following you. He pulls in on the curb while you park. You walk over to him and he gives you a reassuring look.

"The cops are gonna figure this out, alright?" He rests his elbow on the sill of his window. You nod an run you fingers beneath you eyes despite the fact that no tears have fallen since last night when you got off the phone with Bruno. "I know you're really into him, he seems into you too so, as far as I'm concerned you should fight for you relationship. Whatever you decide to do I'll support you."

"I know," you reply. He nods and looks ahead then back at you. "I'm gonna head out and run my errands. Call me if you need anything...I gave you the spare to my place, right?" You nod.

"Cool. See you later."

"Bye." He pulls his hand back into the car and slowly pulls away from the curb and drives down the street. You walk up the police station steps and wait in the little waiting area in front of the double doors to the bull pen. Just you gather the courage to walk up to the counter, an officer walks out, notices you and makes her way over.

"Do you need help with something?" she ask calmly rest her hands on her hips.

"Yes, I would like to speak with Detective McClain about my case."

"Oh, alright. Come right this way, I'll take you to him. She gestures toward the bull pen and you follow. you pass four or five desks before you make a left. The officer stops at a simple wooden desk covered in papers with an old computer and a phone on it.

"Hm...he was just..." she begins to say but she stops herself. She turns to her left an glances in to what you recognize as some sort of office or meeting room. "Ah." You follow her line of sight an despite the distance you see a family head of curls and recognize the person immediately. Bruno. She turns back to you."He's speaking with someone right now but he should be out soon, you can wait here," she gestures toward a chair along side the desk. You sit and set your bag in you lap. The officer walks off and you peer down at you purse inside which lies the threatening note you received. You fiddle with the straps on your purse; then the sleeves of your acid-wash denim jacket. You feel your phone buzz in your jacket pocket and pull it out. Its just a random app notification but in that moment something dawns on you.

You didn't call or text Bruno this morning to say that you were coming. He probably has no idea you decided to come here. He did say that the two of you could go to the police together today but, you never agreed to it; he still came. You pull up the text log you share with him and type down a quick message.

You: Sorry about last night, and not contacting you this morning. I'm here now to talk to the detective but it seems you beat me to it.

You tuck your phone away and turn you attention tot he office in which Bruno and Detective McClain sit speaking. Bruno seems to pause for a moment, glance down in his lap then back up at the detective.

Bruno's POV

McClain sits down, pulls the plain metal chair that was sat in the corner when I came it and turns in backward next to me. He sits on it and rests his forearms on the back rest. I sit back in my chain and swallow hard as he bores into my as though I've done something wrong. If he's been meaning to threaten me, he nailed it. Hearing my phone vibrate I instinctively glance down at it it in my lap and notice the screen illuminating on the chair where it sits face down between my legs.

"Mr. Mars," Officer McClain says evenly. "The first time we spoke I got the impression that you weren't telling me anything that you thought could help with this investigation. Why is it that you've decided to bring up this information now?" He seems to notice but refrains from noticing my glance at my phone. I swallow and look him square in the eyes.
