You scoff and look away but before you can reply you feel a hand on your shoulder. You turn to see Paloma standing next to you with a huge grin on her face. She gives you shoulder a squeeze.

"You hear what's playing?" She raises an eyebrow at you. You look straight ahead and block out the voices of the people around me. Paloma begins dancing and the rest of your friends seem to appear around you. They set knock back what's left of their drinks and then sprint outside, you start to follow then look over your shoulder to find that Bruno and rest of the guys are on their way out as well. You, Brin, Paloma and Camille dance over to where most of the people present are dancing. As you catch rhythm you dance moving with your friends. Bruno and the guys join you, keeping their distance for the most part. The dance with you but don't even attempt to touch any of you. His dark brown eyes smize at you as he counters your moves with some of his own giving you subtle MJ and James Brown vibes. When the song is over, all of you head back to the bar for more drinks with one of the exceptions being you of course. You smile as you watch your friends interact with Bruno's and after a returning to the main area of the block party and dancing some more you decide to take a backseat and catch your breath. You walk over to where you car is parked just behind the police barriers and climb up onto the hood. You sit with one knee bent upright and the other leg stretched out before you. You shrug your over-sized camo jacket a little ways off your shoulders and hold yourself up with you arms stretched straight and palms against the hood. Seated here, you just outside of the over powering volume of the heavy duty speakers where he can hear the music but you can also her the conversations going on around you.

You nod to the music and hum it under your breath as you take in the rest of the block party. Its nearly four AM but nobody present sees to care every much even the neighborhood seems fine about the party. From what you've witnessed since everybody arrived, no one has raised a noise compliant. You look off the main part of the party searching for another view to focus on when you hear a semi-familiar voice. You turn and see Bruno making his way toward you.

"How come you're over here?" Bruno asks leaning up against your car. You look over at him, tilt your head and smirk.

"They're occupied," you reply jutting your chin out in the direct of the his friends and yours paired up grinding on each other.

"Dang, they ditched you," he replies running a hand over his curls.

"Nah, its cool. They're having fun so I'm good." You look at your friends and smile then look down in your lap. Bruno nudges you lightly with his elbow.

"Can I join you?" You scoot over to the right of your car's hood then Bruno climbs up and sits beside you. "So you're just gonna sit alone?"

"No," you reply quickly. You pause and stay silent for a few minutes. He looks over at you and raises an eyebrow. "You're here aren't you?" He chuckles and looks down.

"Right."

"Speaking of being left out, why are you here instead of with your friends?"

"Same as you, but it's cool. I'm all set."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, I still have a mission to accomplish."

"Hm, good luck with that." He looks down and chuckles. The brushes his hands off.

"What brought you ladies out tonight? It was pretty late to stop for tacos, even if they are that good." You chuckle but you hide your smile from him again.

"It's spring break from school, Brin and I came home to spend it Camille and Paloma. We figured we make the most of a warm night. After all the clubbing, we got hungry; Camille suggested the diner."
