this isn't one of my typical "sad" entries, i was thinking about this during work for a few days now, and i think it's just really cute to write about.
so imagine your special someone, nope not your family, boyfriend/girlfriend or even someone your dating. let's say this person is someone who you always felt something to, but never could admit it.
since it's in my p.o.v. , i'll be using he, but for the dudes, it can be a she 🤪
-he just returned to your home country for a week before he has to return overseas for studies. you always knew the two of you had something but both of you were always too shy to admit it. despite the teases you know you'll both get, you gathered up the courage to ask him for a friendly day out to the zoo, knowing he always wanted to visit it.
since he was occupied almost every day meeting up with friends the whole week, both of you decided to go out on the last day he was in town, having his flight in the wee hours of the morning the next day. that morning, as decided, both of you met up for breakfast, McDonald's breakfast to be exact.
"breakfast's on me", you say with a smile as you look at the menu, deciding on what to eat.
"you sure?", you nod in reply and orders both of your food as he finds a table.
both of you eat breakfast quietly, awkwardness still lingering in the air, only small talk breaking it occasionally. after breakfast, both of you set foot to the zoo.
upon reaching, he purchases the tickets while you scan the map, looking at what the both of you can go for first.
"i think we can catch the 'Rainforest Fights Back' show at 1030 first, then the 'Splash Safari' since their next to each other", you suggest.
"yeah sure, let's do that" he replies as he hands you the ticket. before both of you enter, you take out your phone, going to instagram to take a boomerang of the tickets with him as a background - 'bringing this idiot home today' , you type in as you post it on your instagram story.
both of you make your way into the zoo, walking towards the direction of the amphitheater where the show was going to be held while looking at the different animals in the different enclosures.
you knew today was going to be a great day. you just did.
-
both of you spent the whole day at the zoo, watching all the shows they have on offer and looking at the wide array of animals, also not forgetting to get all those memories on camera, keeping your best friends updated on how the day was going on your instagram story. since the zoo was about to close in half an hour, you decided to call it a day. upon exiting, he asks a stranger to help both of you take a picture at the sign. you position yourself at the middle with him to your right as he puts his arm around your waist and yours around his.
"what're you doing after this?", he asks.
"nothing actually, why?"
"wanna go out for dinner? it's on me", he says with that cute smile he has, something inside you fangirls a bit. you just loved his cheeky smile and how it could make your day better, even by a little.
"okay" you reply with a laugh.
due to the long queue for the shuttle bus, you decided to book a grab ( or an uber ) to the mall where you guys lived near. all the while you thought it was going to be a simple dinner at some fast food place or the food court but to your surprise, he brought you to one of those high end western restaurants.
