1. Where Things Kicked On

"Are we really gonna do this?"

"I think so..."

Alex scratches his head, looking thoughtful as he considers the agreement that they just made. Jasey smiles confidently, "Relax, Alex. Nothing would ruin this, we know that nothing more will come to us"

"This is risky...you know that 90% of people failed and end up breaking the agreement" Alex looks at her with eyes full of doubt.

"I'm sure" she smiles again. At that moment he finally sees that she might be right and that it would turn out okay.

Nothing more than friends with benefits.

Nothing more than a casual fuck.

"Besides, I couldn't see us to be that romantic couple over there" Jasey pointed the couple at the next table. They are looking at each other with adoring eyes, hands laced together; talking with small voices and the girl would giggle from time to time.

"Why not?" Alex looked confused for a second

"Come on! Don't you notice that almost every girl's eyes here are directed to you?" she sweeps her hands to make her point.

"If I were going to date someone, it wouldn't be with someone every girls drool at" she continues.

Alex shows her his devilish grin, "what can I say? I'm just that amazing"

"Anyway. Here's to an easy relationship. To no string attached. To friends with benefits" she raises her bottle, he clinked it with his own with a nod,” to an easy relationship" he repeats.

"I'll get the next round. Jack's on the way here, and remember that this seat is taken"

Jasey already knows that it's a risky agreement since most people end up falling to each other or break off to be strangers. But she loves it when things got risky and she’s pretty confident of keeping things in line. After all, Alex is a big star and she’s just another typical girl. He'll travel a lot and she'll be home, he'll meet a lot of girls that line up just to meet him and she'll be lucky if one guy talks to her in a bar. But that doesn't matter, Alex freaking Gaskarth as her friends with benefits partner? You go girl, she smiles to her own thoughts.

Jasey just got her beers when Jack slides to a spot right next to her, "won't you buy me a glass too?"

"Buy it yourself. In fact, you should have bought me a glass" she shoves the beers to jack's hands, "help me to carry these"

"Yes, Madame" he smirks before turning it into a slight pout, "oh look, my baby's surrounded by girls again" he points at the table where Alex is drowned by girls' bodies.

"You’ll get surrounded too. Bring it to Alex, I'm gonna wait at the bar. Maybe I'll get lucky tonight" she grins after Jack.

"Does that mean you're giving me your beer?" he raises a glass

"Fine. But don't drink both"

"Where were you last night?" Alex screams over the phone. Jasey mumbles a little, Alex guess she got annoyed since he calls her at 6 and he knows that she usually wakes up at 7, top.

"Can you keep it down?" her voice sounds husky and a little whispery, oh...

"Got lucky?" Alex asks, hearing the urgency in her voice

"No. My voice just gone..." she sounded annoyed which makes him chuckles, "how so?"

"After I left the bar with no catch last night my cousins kidnapped me to a karaoke booth and I ended up loosing it. Got a text from her this morning saying I was like a wild animal. I just hope I didn't do anything embarrassing..."

"Trust me, wild animal is embarrassing. Let's go get some breakfast"

"Can’t, Alex. Sorry, got some work to do. Thanks for waking me up anyway" she yawns before saying a quick bye and hangs up the phone.

Alex kicks his blanket and jumps out of the bed. He has some recording to do today, but he doesn't feel like doing it. Too lazy he guesses. He needs something to pumped him up, well Jasey's usually here, in his place, doing some weird stuffs in the kitchen to produce some weird foods and when she's done she'd yell right to his ears to wake him up and if that doesn't work, she'd pull him and drag him to the kitchen. But now that she got promoted, she seems to have less and less time to spend with him.

Alex dozes off on the couch until he realized that his phone has been ringing for a while. Jack.

"What?"

"You’re late, where are you?"

"Oh damn. What time is it?" Alex jumps out of the couch and do a quick change, Jack is on the phone all the while, nagging on how he's always late and how he should get a reminder or some sort.

"Calm down, Jack! I'm 5 minutes away" Alex hangs up on him and start the car.
