Han looked through the trees. He could see the Millennium Falcon just ahead of them. "Over there," he called to Leia, as he pointed to the Falcon.

They hurried towards the freighter. Once they were close to the ship, they jumped off of their speeders, and ran towards the Millennium Falcon. Blaster shots flew past them, as the First Order perused them.

Han stopped halfway to the Millennium Falcon. He looked back and fired his blaster at the stormtroopers who were shooting at them. He had to provide cover for the others, while they escaped. Chewbacca stopped and stood next to him. He aimed his bowcaster at the group of stormtroopers. He shot down two of them with one shot.

Poe, BB-8, and Finn hurried into the Millennium Falcon. Rey, Leia and Ben stepped onto the ramp. They looked back to make sure that Han was behind them, but he and Chewbacca weren't there. They saw them crouched behind a log. Then Han stood quickly and shot one of the stormtroopers down with his blaster.

"Han!" Leia called.

"I'll be there in a moment," he called, as he continued shooting the stormtroopers.

Ben sensed it rather than saw it. One of the stormtroopers shot at his father. "Dad!" he screamed as the stormtrooper fired his blaster.

But just as the blast was about to hit Han, Chewbacca stepped in front of him. The blast hit him the arm. The Wookiee screamed in pain.

"Chewie!" Han yelled.

Ben turned towards his mother. "I'm going to go help Dad," he told her.

Leia nodded.

Ben pulled out his lightsaber and made his way down the ramp. He noticed that Rey was following him. He turned quickly to look at her. She had her staff ready. He held up his hand to stop her. "No, you're staying," he told her.

"I'm going rather you like it or not," she answered.

"My father wouldn't want you to get hurt," he said.

"He may be your father, but he's the closest thing I've ever had to a father. I have just as much right to help him as you do. Besides I made a promise never to leave anyone behind the way my parents left me."

Ben nodded, he knew that he would never be able to stop her. And he realized that this was her choice, not his. He gestured for her to follow him. "Fine," he replied. "But stay behind me."

Rey smiled and followed him down the ramp.

Han and Chewbacca sat behind the log, blasts zipping past them on all sides. Several bolts hit the log in front of them. Han felt a blast fly only centimeters above his head. It was a little too close for comfort. He crouched down lower behind the log.

Chewbacca groaned from the pain in his arm.

"You'll be alright." Han told Chewie. He held the Wookiee's arm to stop the bleeding.

Chewbacca growled.

"Yes, I know it hurts," said Han. "Let's get to the Millennium Falcon."

"Maaaa?"

"What do you mean how?" Han lifted his blaster. "With this, just like old times."

"Raa ra raaa!" Chewbacca answered. Which meant: "We were younger."

"Speak for yourself." Han answered.

Chewbacca just looked at him.

Han realized that he wasn't as young as he once was, but he wasn't about to let that stop him. One thing was certain in Han's mind: if he was going to die, it wasn't going to be from old age.

"Ready?" he asked Chewie.

The Wookiee nodded, then Han and Chewbacca stood up at the same time. They immediately began firing at the stormtroopers. Five of the them went down instantly, but more continued to shoot at them.

Just then, Ben and Rey stepped out in front of them. Ben deflected the blasts with his lightsaber, while Rey used her staff.

"Help Chewie." Han told Rey.

She nodded. Then she took the bowcaster from Chewbacca. It would be hard for him to carry it with a hurt arm. Rey helped Chewbacca to the Millennium Falcon. Han and Ben followed closely behind.

As they made their way back to the Millennium Falcon, Han continued to fire his blaster at the stormtroopers, while Ben deflected the blasts that the stormtroopers were firing at them. Once they reached the top of the ramp, Han pressed the button, closing the door of the Millennium Falcon. Blasts hit the door as it closed not a moment too soon.

"Nice work, kid." Han told Ben.

"You too, Dad," he answered.

Then Han turned to look at the girl. "Thanks for the help, Rey."

Rey smiled at Han, then she turned her attention to Chewbacca. She tried to look at the Wookiee's arm. It was hard to see the wound through the thick fur that covered his arm. Rey gently moved the blood soaked fur aside to examine the wound.

Han was surprised that his furry friend didn't growl at the girl or try to push her away. Normally Chewie only let Han do things like that.

Leia, Finn, Poe and BB-8 were in the hall next to them. Leia looked at her husband and Han knew that he was in trouble. There was nothing in the galaxy that Han feared.... Nothing except Leia's anger. She came over to him, she reached up and swatted Han on the shoulder. It was a love tap, it wasn't a gentle one. Han suppressed the urge to say: "ow!"

"Don't scare me like that." Leia said angrily.

"Sorry, sweetheart," he apologized, acting as if he hadn't done anything wrong.

"You could have been killed. I have you back for five minutes and you almost get yourself killed," she placed her hands on her hips.

"I'm still in one piece," said Han.

"Thanks to Chewie." Leia pointed out.

Han didn't reply.

"And if not for Ben and the girl, where would you be?"

Han pointed towards the door of the Millennium Falcon. "Out there."

Leia shook her head. "You still drive me crazy."

"That's why you love me." Han bent down and kissed her cheek.

She smiled at him.

"I told you that I was just getting started," he added with a smirk.
