Rey and Ben ran through the forest as quickly as they could. They knew that their friends could be in danger.
They came to a sudden halt as a small green figure that glowed with a blue light suddenly appeared before them. It was Master Yoda.
Rey and Ben struggled to catch their breaths.
"Master Yoda?" Ben asked, breathlessly.
"Young Solo, hurry you must. In grave danger your father is,"said Yoda.
Rey and Ben exchanged glances.
"It's the First Order, isn't it?" asked Ben.
Yoda only nodded.
"This is all my fault," said Rey. "I shouldn't have gone in there."
"The truth you have found. Wiser you have become," said Yoda. He turned to Ben, who's face was filled with concern. "There is still time to save your father, young Solo."
Ben looked at him and nodded before hurrying to save his father.
Rey hurried to follow. She couldn't let Han die because of her mistake. But perhaps Master Yoda was right, perhaps seeing the truth would make her wiser. Perhaps by facing her past, she would be more prepared to face her future.
Han, Chewbacca, Finn and Poe ran until they couldn't take another step. They turned to look behind them. The stormtroopers had almost caught up to them.
Han looked at Poe and Chewbacca. "Now, we fight," he said.
They both nodded.
Poe looked to see that Finn was still running. "Finn!" he called, and his friend stopped. "We can't run forever."
Finn only stared at him.
"We need you buddy," said Poe.
"Okay," said Finn and he came over to join them.
They took cover behind a large log that had fallen on the forest floor. Han pulled out his blaster, and the others followed his example. They peered over the log and began to open fire on the approaching stormtroopers.
They shot many of them down, but more continued to come at them. Han and Chewbacca were experienced at this sort of thing. They managed to keep the stormtroopers at bay for a while. But the stormtroopers soon began to overpower the small group of rebels. Han stood to get a better aim at the oncoming stormtroopers. But just as he stood up, three of the stormtroopers fired on him. Han saw the bolts coming towards him. He tried to dodge them, but there were too many. He closed his eyes, expecting to hit by one of the blasts. But it never came. He opened his eyes again to see the blasts frozen in front of him.
He turned around, expecting to see his son, but instead he saw Leia standing behind him. Her hand was extended toward the bolts, and her brow was creased in concentration. She had never used the Force in this way before. She was only glad that she was able to hold back the blasts to save her husband. With all of her strength she pushed the bolts back at the stormtroopers, hitting them with their own fire.
She breathed a sigh of relief as the bolts were no longer threatening her husband. But the stormtroopers continued to fire at them. This time, Han ducked behind the log. He reached out and grabbed Leia's hand, pulling her to safety.
He held her tightly in his arms and smiled. "I love you," he said.
"I know," she answered with a sweet smile on her face.
Han wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a loving kiss. Like the ones they had shared when they were young.
Ben arrived just in time to see his parents kissing. A big smile appeared on his face. His mother had been so heartbroken. She had missed his father every since he could remember. He had never seen her happier, and he was glad that his parents could finally be together.
