Walking into the coffee shop, your gaze swept across the place before noticing Hoseok sitting at a table in the corner. You began walking over to him and, once noticing you, he gave you a friendly wave and a warm smile. You took a seat across from him, taking in your surroundings before giving the brunette your full attention.

"First I guess I'd like to thank you for doing whatever this thing is," you began. "Now, how exactly are we going to go about doing this?"

"I was thinking about starting off with something simple." Hoseok sat up a little straighter, crossing his arms and resting them on the table. "Why don't I tell you a bit about myself so you'll feel more comfortable? I get that I'm close to Yoongi so there's a little sense of security, but you don't really know me, y'know? If I'm going to be helping you I think you should learn some background information, right?"

You nodded your head in affirmation and relaxed in your seat. You had been anxious all morning, wondering what the plans were for today. How would he test you? What would he make you do that would force you out of your comfort zone? Questions like these had been floating around your head but now your worries were put to rest.

"Oh, and don't feel obligated to do the same as me. You can tell me about yourself along the way as we work with each other, yeah?" After you nodded your head in response Hoseok began.

"Well, my name is Jung Hoseok and I'm a Korean who moved here a few years ago. I'm twenty-four-years-old, born in 1994. I've been friends with Yoongi for about seven years now and he's easily the closest friend I have. I have a passion for dancing--mainly hip-hop--and I actually work at a dance studio currently. Although Yoongi has acknowledged how deep my love for dance runs, he's always told me he could see me as working as some type of counsellor. Honestly, it's probably the reason he wants me to help you. He thinks I have a way with people that just makes it easy for them to open up with me. Along with my "positive energy", as he likes to call it. Oh, and as a side note I've actually done a bit of rapping for Yoongi when he needed someone for a guide. But I'm not, like, super skilled or anything. And yeah, that should be about it. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I don't bite."

You sat quietly for a moment, trying to take in all this information. You also began to wonder if you should ask for more from him or if this was enough to satisfy you. Now probably wasn't the time. Hoseok had told you basic stuff and if you wanted to know more you'd probably be treading on a more personal level of sorts. You two had only just met so waiting might be best for now.

Even though he had said you didn't need to say anything you kinda felt like you needed to. That was only fair, right? Hoseok was already in the dark, to begin with, whereas you already knew a bit about him thanks to Yoongi. It'd only be polite of you to tell him something.

"That's good enough for now. I'm sure I'll get to know more as we spend more time together," you said. "I'll tell you something--"

"I said it's--"

"No, you deserve to hear something." You looked around to make sure there weren't any people within eavesdropping distance and, once satisfied, you leaned in slightly and lowered your tone. "I'll...tell you about why I don't like men."

Hoseok's expression had grown serious, no hint of a smile on his face now. His gaze was intense, boring into you, and you could tell he knew this wasn't something to joke about. That what you were about to tell him took guts--and it did, in your opinion at least.

"Five months ago I was invited to a party by a now ex-work friend. I've never really been interested in parties, but this friend had insisted on me going after her original date partner bailed on her. I guess this party meant something to her or whatever. That's why she really wanted to go and forced me to tag along.
