"So how's Hoseok?" you asked.

Yoongi groaned in displeasure and gave you an unimpressed look. "Why don't you find out yourself?"

"I feel like that's weird. You see him more often than me anyways so why can't I just find out from you?" you argued.

"You guys are friends, what's weird about checking in to see how he's doing?" the short man countered. "Seriously, I don't understand your logic sometimes. You actually need to communicate with people, y'know? Don't just use me."

"Can you just answer my goddamn question?" you complained, voice rising slightly. A few people that were currently trying to read gave you dirty looks and you offered them an apologetic smile.

"I don't know how he's doing. I haven't seen him all week," Yoongi sighed, crossing his arms on the table and resting his chin on them.

"And you didn't bother contacting him? Kinda hypocritical, aren't you?" you commented.

"I'm not the one worried about him," he shrugged.

"That's the biggest fucking lie ever and you know it. You're just as worried about him as I am."

"Okay, even if I was he'd rather have you call him than me. And before you try and refute that, let me ask you this: who's the one that's been going to his dance studio? Who was invited to the competition? Who comforted him last week when he needed it? Exactly. So shut up, take out your phone, find his name in your contacts and press the 'call'," Yoongi replied.

You could see the logic in what Yoongi was arguing. If you were being honest, you did want to call Hoseok yourself because you were worried about him. You hadn't heard from him since last week after the competition. But it was hard to muster up the courage to contact him. Especially with Yoongi sitting here.

"Hypothetically, if I were to call, would you stay?" you questioned.

He gave you a curious look. "Is that your way of telling me to get lost?"

"No, I just...it'll be weird if you're sitting here listening to me talk on the phone," you replied.

"I guess I could give you some privacy," he said with a shrug before smirking. "Hypothetically, of course."

"You know what, I think I'd like a drink. I'm starting to feel a bit parched. Maybe you could go run to a fast food joint or something and get me one? I'm working so it's not like I could get it myself," you said, giving Yoongi a pleading look.

The short man gave you a knowing smile. "Sure thing. I'll be right back." He stood up and was about to begin walking away but stopped himself. "Tell Hobi I said 'hi'."

The moment Yoongi exited the library you pulled out your phone, looking for Hoseok in your contacts. You took a moment to mentally prepare yourself before deciding to call him. The phone rang for a bit and just when you were going to bail someone picked up on the other end of the line.

"Hello?" a familiar voice answered.

"Hey, I was just calling to check up on you. I haven't heard from you since last week," you said. "Also, Yoongi says hi."

"Oh! Hi (Y/n), sorry for going MIA there. Work has been keeping me busy and I've been planning stuff for Anna. Y'know, with her leaving and all," Hoseok apologized.

"No, no, it's fine! I was just worried you might've still been upset about the competition."

"Oh that," Hoseok chuckled. "I always feel disappointed afterwards but I get over it pretty quickly. No use to keep thinking about it since it's not gonna change anything. The only reason I was so upset was because of how sad the kids got. It made me feel like I failed them or something. They're all good now, though. Back to normal and ready to try again next year."
