The sound of your phone buzzing woke you from your deep slumber. You can't remember the last time you slept this well and you debated whether you should just ignore the phone call but when you saw that it was from Yoongi you knew you were gonna have to get up. You grabbed your phone and brought it to your ear, answering the call.
"Give me one second," you whispered before checking over your shoulder and bringing your phone to your chest.
Hoseok was still fast asleep, his one arm thrown over your waist. With great caution, you lifted his arm off you by his wrist before placing it on the mattress gently. His brows furrowed and he fisted the sheets but it didn't seem like he was going to be waking up. You left your bedroom quietly and went into the kitchen so that you could talk more freely without worrying about your volume.
"Hey, what's up?"
"I wanted to check on you. How was your date?" Yoongi replied.
You narrowed your eyes despite knowing your best friend couldn't see you. "Aaron didn't talk to you?"
"It's not like we're close friends or something, so no. We just talk whenever we see each other which is usually during lunch break. How was he?"
"Why the hell did you choose him?" you demanded, voice harsher than you planned for.
"What did he do? I know he asks a lot of questions so if you're annoyed by that then I get it. He's the most innocent guy from the group of coworkers looking for someone to date, though, so I didn't think he'd be too physical. The others probably would've groped you or something and I knew you wouldn't appreciate that," Yoongi answered.
"Yeah, well apparently you don't know him as well as you think you do," you snapped.
There was silence over the line for a moment before Yoongi's hesitant voice cut through it. "(Y/n), did he do something bad?"
"I mean, if kissing me unexpectedly counts then yeah, he did something bad," you said angrily. Your eyes were welling with tears as you thought of the traumatic moment yesterday and you groaned, frustrated with yourself.
"Shit, (Y/n), I didn't think he would do something like that. He was the last person who I thought would do something stupid like that," Yoongi said remorsefully.
"Did you tell him I'm not okay with stuff like that?" you asked, voice sounding watery.
"Of course! I said you weren't okay with physical contact but you've been working with a friend to gradually get more used to it," Yoongi replied. "I can set him straight if you want or even have him formally apologize--"
"No!" you exclaimed, interrupting him. "I don't wanna see him again."
"(Y/n)," your best friend pressed. "I understand that you're upset now and high-strung on emotions but I hope you can eventually realize Aaron is a good guy. A lot nicer than other guys, at least. He didn't mean any harm by kissing you."
"I don't give a shit," you hissed, roughly wiping at your tears that had started to fall down your face. "I'm not seeing him ever again."
"(Y/n)--"
"Don't!" You took a deep breath in, glaring at the ceiling and willing yourself not to wail. "Not now--I can't. Just give me the space I need."
Without warning, you ended the call and put your phone on the counter and screamed out in frustration. You felt a bit bad for being so difficult with Yoongi but right now you didn't really feel like talking to anyone. Staying inside, either in your bed or on the couch, was much more appealing. Sighing in exasperation, you turned around to see Hoseok leaning against the door frame of the kitchen. He gave you a tender smile but your vision became blurry and everything looked distorted.
