"Shit, shit, shit, fuck, fuck, fuck, kill me now," you cursed under your breath as you dashed out of the bus and began running as fast as you could to the auditorium.

If it weren't for the fact that you had a performance you desperately needed to be present for, you probably would've stabbed yourself for being so stupid. Not only were you late getting up--ultimately messing up your routine of getting ready for today--you also decided to take the bus instead of an Uber or cab. A fucking bus. One that literally stopped every half second to pick up a bunch of passengers which didn't help your cause whatsoever. Why you took one, you didn't have the slightest clue. You sorta just ran outside and saw it coming down the street so you ran to the bus stop outside your apartment complex and climbed on. Biggest mistake of your life. Well...maybe you shouldn't be that dramatic but it was still the worst choice you've made these past few weeks.

You ran into the auditorium and looked down both hallways to the right and left. The auditorium was straight ahead but you were to meet Hoseok in the dressing room his studio was given to get ready. You checked your phone quickly for the room number before making your way down the hallway to the right, running down it while checking the numbers to make sure you don't accidentally pass the one you're looking for.

114...116...119...aha! 120!

You knocked on the door several times before peeking in. The kids were scattered around the room, all of them dressed up and some getting touched up with makeup. You quickly found Hoseok who was going around, checking each child's condition. All of the kids were dressed up in white, button-down shirts with ties and slacks but Hoseok was the only one wearing all black. If you were being completely honest, he looked amazing and you were certain your eyes were gonna be locked on him the whole time just like during the practice.

"Hobi! (Y/n) is here!" one of the children exclaimed, pointing at you.

Hoseok turned around to look at you with a blinding smile. He walked over to and let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad you could make it."

"No problem. Sorry for being late, though. I ended up sleeping in by mistake and then I hopped on a fucking bus and had to wait through--"

"(Y/n), it's okay, chill. I'm just glad you arrived before we started," Hoseok cut in with a chuckle. He turned around to face the kids and clapped his hands to capture their attention. "Alright kiddies! Our number one cheerleader is here so we're gonna go out on that stage and kill it!"

"Yeah!"

"We'll do it just like during practice on Thursday."

"Let's show them how good we are! How much better we've gotten!"

"We've got Hobi and (Y/n) on our side so we'll definitely do great."

One of the girls turned to another and gave her an encouraging tap. "What do you have to say, Anna?"

"I just hope we can finally get first or second place, especially because it's my last year. I want to go out with a bang!" the Anna girl said.

You knitted your brows together in confusion and glanced over at Hoseok, hoping to catch his eyes. However, he was completely focused on Anna, giving her a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"I can feel that this year is gonna be different guys." The brunette looked to the clock on the wall before he straightened his back and began ushering all the kids out. "Let's go guys! We've gotta go to the side stage now."

You waited until all the kids were out before following behind them with Hoseok.

"Hos--"

"I really wish you could stand off stage and wait with us before and between the performance but sadly they won't allow it. You're gonna be sitting in the front row with Nikki, though, so you'll have a great view. Plus, the kids will be able to find you easily," Hoseok informed.
