"It's okay, (Y/n). This date is gonna go perfectly. Yoongi wouldn't set you up with some douche that only wants to have sex. Or a criminal who is waiting for the perfect moment to slit your throat. Or a pimp looking for another girl to make money off of. This guy will be an angel and--"

You paused when you realized your pep talk wasn't really helping you relax. Imagining all the worst possible men certainly wasn't good for your mental state, not when you were freaked out enough by the thought of going on a date. The moment you watched Hoseok drive away was also when your confidence went with him. Apparently you left it in the damn car.

You were getting closer to your meeting spot, observing each person you passed closely. Yoongi didn't bother to give you a description of the guy so you honestly had no idea how you were supposed to find him. Hopefully he told this guy about you otherwise this date wasn't gonna happen today, which, honestly, wouldn't be a problem for you. Not only because you felt like your knees were going to give out at any minute but also because during your mad dash out of your apartment you forgot to grab your wallet. You weren't too keen on the idea of mooching off this guy for money.

"Hi--"

Without thinking rationally, you flung your arm out as you spun around on the spot, hand making contact with the stranger's face. Your first encounter with Hoseok came to mind but, unfortunately, this guy didn't seem to have good reflexes.

"Oh God, I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting you to sneak up on me like that," you apologized, eyeing the male warily.

"Don't feel bad. I should've expected this," the guy laughed, pressing a hand to his left cheek.

He had short, black hair with purple-tinted tips that was styled up. His checkered button-up shirt caught your attention and you had to suppress a snort when you saw that he had it buttoned up all the way to his throat. At least his pants were okay, plain jeans that fit him well. If only he was wearing boots and a cowboy hat, he'd have the whole western theme down. For a guy with his hair, you would've expected him to dress a little more...normally? Like he wasn't about to take you to his ranch and show you his horses?

Why are you being so judgmental? Let the guy wear what he likes, the angelic side of your brain scolded. Maybe because you just got out of a car with Hoseok who was sporting one hell of a nice leather jacket. The difference in style was giving you whiplash.

"Are you (Y/n)?" the man asked, tearing you from your thoughts.

"Yes, uh, are you the guy I'm going to go on a date with today?" you replied. God, this was so awkward. You almost had a cringe attack when the word "date" left your lips.

"Yeah, I'm Aaron," he said, sticking his hand out for you to shake. You stared at it hard, practically burning a hole right through it. Just before he was about to retract, you cautiously took his hand, giving a weak shake.

"So what are the plans for today?" you asked.

"I was thinking we could grab an early dinner and watch the sunset together," Aaron replied.

"Oh, it's early alright," you muttered under your breath. Who eats dinner at five? Unless you've got plans for the night you usually eat a good hour and a half later than that.

"What was that?"

"Nothing! That sounds alright with me," you said with a smile. "Is there somewhere close by?"

"Yeah! Follow me and I'll get us there," Aaron chirped.

Somehow you knew you weren't gonna be seeing this guy again after this date was over.
