CHAPTER 31

Arabella's POV

It's Tuesday morning and I'm sitting at the lunch table with Summer and Em by my side.

"So he told you he wanted to be your boyfriend?" Em says in disbelief

"Yeah" I reassure

"What did you say?" Summer asks

"Well I-"

"Hi guys" Kate says waving as she sits on our table. We all greet her as she sits down.

"So sorry about last night Arabella"

"No don't worry about it, it wasnt your fault"

"But I still feel horrible that your date was ruined"

"Date?" Em & Summer say surprised

"With Luke right?" Kate asks

"Yes his name is Luke but it-"

"Hey guys" Calum grunts as he sits down next to Em, Luke coming up right behind him. Luke had a bruise on his nose and cheek area. It was really hard to not notice.

"Luke what happened?" Em asked him as soon as he was within earshot.

"Clifford kicked his arse" Calum chuckled taking a bite from his chicken sandwich.

"What Michael did this?" Kate & I said in unison

"He uh...did..." Luke mumbled

"Luke why what happened?" I asked surprised

"I don't want to talk about it" he mumbled back

"Luke come on.." I said getting closer to him

"No Ara drop it" He said a bit clearer now

"Well you must've done something bad cause its like 7th grade all over again" Summer laughed "Luke..was it over Ara?" she asked carefully

He stayed quiet.

"Oh god Luke don't tell me it was over Ara again" Calum said dropping his sandwich in frustration

"Can't you guys just let something go for once?" Luke barked out storming out quickly.

"Why this again" I whined out cupping my cheeks

"What happened?" Kate asked clearly confused. Summer and Em told her about 7th grade. After a while she looked up at me with a blank expression

"I guess he never did get over you huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"When Michael and I...dated.. he liked you. He never stopped loving you, not even while we were dating"

"You and Michael dated?"

"Yeah..last year"

"Why didn't you tell us?" I asked getting a bit mad even though I really shouldn't

"I didn't even know he knew you guys till last night" She said defensively

"Last night?"

"Yeah he went to the bakery right after you left and he asked what happened and I mentioned that you and Luke were on a date and you guys had a little accident and he said he knew you guys"

"What did he do after?" I asked already knowing the answer

"He..left" Kate said catching on "But it can't be, because I went to his house later and we talked the whole night and he seemed fine"

"You..you went to see him?"

"Yeah and we talked for most of the night" I felt like the room got hotter and felt like the walls were closing in.

"I'm gonna go find Luke" I said standing up.
