S1: Chapter 4 - Jack

Chapter 4

PYRRHA

I fell on the ground and covered my head as the sword broke into pieces. The guy who saved me earlier crashed along with Rin.

Everything happened too fast.

I cannot comprehend it anymore.

I opened my eyes and saw blonde boy somewhat pushed back by a powerful force. I guess this is Jerk #1. Rin shouted "REN!" when she saw her partner wounded. So I guess, Jerk #1 name is Ren. I looked up and saw The Deceiver with his death stare.

Things are starting to slow down. Rin came rushing to her partner and soon the both of them disappeared into thin air. But 'Deceiver' just stood there, motionless.

The guy with the red cape got his huge gun back and came rushing to me.

"Your wound? Let me see your wound!"

He grabbed my arm and then I just realized the wound was completely gone. It looked like I was unharmed. But then 'Deceiver' pushed him away from me and exclaimed, "MINE!!!"

"Jack, what are you doing?!" he exclaimed.

"SHUT UP! LOOK WHAT YOU DID!"

The Deceiver never looked so angry. And what did that guy just said? Was it Jack? Is that the his name?

"Calm down. I never expected this to happen." he looked down and felt sorry.

The Deceiver helped me to stand up and held my hand. He whispered calmly to me, "Let's go..."

But then we are stopped by this guy and blocked our way.

"Where are you taking her, Jack?"

"Somewhere else away from you..."

"Why are doing this?"

"The kinds of you would just betray her like what you did to me before-"

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!"

"Get out of my way."

He just gave him the usual death stare with those red eyes that made the both of us uncomfortable.

"Fine! I'll let the two of you go for now. Seems like this kid still doesn't know what is currently happening. Promise me you'll tell her everything but only the truth..." he stepped aside then it looks like the barrier around us starts to deteriorate and the dead end is no longer found. The Deceiver pulled me next to him as we walked back to my home. He was just completely silent. So unlikely the way I knew him. A playful guy who casually tells lies and deceive people and mess with their minds. Now I am walking along with someone who looks like the polar opposite of himself.

It was already dark when we finally reached home. It was awkwardly silent until he spoke.

"When you start seeing the blue lights from your window, come see me..."

"But... Where?" I asked.

"Just look out and you'll see me. I'll explain to you everything..."

"... Okay."

I can't wait any longer so I asked him.

"Your name... What's your real name?"

He was about to leave but when he heard it he stopped.

"It's Jack. I'm pretty sure you heard that idiot..." he said with a low voice and walked away saying,, "I'll tell you everything I know so just wait, Pyrrha..."

Soon, he disappeared and I got in our house. I ate my dinner and lay down on my bed, thinking about what just happened today.
