S1: Chapter 18 - Operation: Witchcraft

Chapter 18

PYRRHA

"Ah! Pyrrha's here!" I heard Nauri exclaimed.

When I arrived, I saw Jack and Nauri along with a woman with a short curly brown hair. She's really gorgeous. Who is she?

"Pyrrha come this way! This is Lady Arwen, one of the heads of Operation: Witchcraft." Nauri introduced.

"Operation what?" I asked.

Lady Arwen looked at me and took a deep breath.

"It's Operation: Witchcraft, young lady. It's an operation created by one of the oldest organization of Witches long ago. The main objective of the operation is to gather and search for the other Witches and protect them at all cost. There several other operations that the main objective is to eliminate the Witches, most specially the Reincarnated ones. You are one of them, Miss Pyrrha, and we want you to join us and you will be under our protection.

"As your fellow Witches stated the event earlier, it appears you are very powerful that you took a legendary leviathan down in just one streak. By that very moment, you raised the alarm of the Hunters and now you might be one of their targets. You were assaulted before, isn't that right?"

"Yes." I replied. I can clearly remember that time I was attack by two hooded figures that were presumably named Rin and Ren.

"Those people where part of an operation as well. One of those who are against us, they are known as the Witch-hunters. They hunt for their own kind. It may sound stupid but it does happen. But I can say their main objective sounds good. It is to prevent history from repeating itself."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Eliminate all the Witches even they are obviously innocent."

"Innocent?"

"It means those who are 100% not related to the Warlock incident. Mostly those who are Fragments are already completed."

"I see." I replied.

"There are bunch of other activities in the operation. For those who are newly awakened, we help them to find and discover their Inside Identity. We train them using our high class facilities in order to strengthen them so that they could defend and protect themselves and also the others in the future. We help them gather their fragments to know more about the past. The search for the Warlock is also one of our secondary objectives, but protecting the Witches was the main focus." Lady Arwen stated.

"So I was thinking- no... We were thinking if you'd want to join Operation: Witchcraft and take you under our care." she smiled.

I thought about it but I realized something.

"Is this the same operation Jack once quitted?" I asked. It made Dante gulp. I think I asked a very daring question.

Lady Arwen bowed her head low and said, "Yes. It is the operation Mister Jack quitted due to an incident that happened during one mission. We clearly understand why for that event also caused a trauma to him. He is still under our care as you can see no matter what, we are still looking after him. Even if he left, he is still part of the family. I'll understand if you don't want to-"
