Chapter 31
PYRRHA

We were assigned to Sector 7.

I looked around and observed the environment.

"A forest?" I asked.

"I'm pretty sure there used a Nexus Gear around here." Dante murmured.

"What's a Nexus Gear?"

"It's a special instrument used to manipulate and link all the barriers and fuse them into their one huge cage in a particular area. By doing so, we don't have to locate them just by our luck. It's easier as well to capture them. It'll be easier to fight. But since this is more like an open area, they'll be very unpredictable."

"Do you think there were any monsters around?" Nauri asked.

"Glarion, scan the whole area." Aerl commanded.

"Understood." Glarion nodded and closed his eyes, concentrating.

"Let's give him some extra space." Aerl said and we stepped back.

When he opened his eyes once again, they were glowing red and right after that he snapped his finger and a huge orange glyph-like circle appeared right below his knees. It glowed bright and then I realized it was a map of the area! Awesome!

We sat down and gather round. I noticed diamond shapes around. Nauri pressed the six of them that violet. Aerl touched each of them. One by one, our names appeared right above the shapes. I think this is our position right now. Looking away from our position to the right was moving red circles. They're a group of 5.

"What do you think? Shall we go for it?" Jack asked. So these were those other monsters.

"They're not really away from here and I think we'll do great." Glarion answered.

"What if we got ambushed?" Dante asked and we looked at him. Think of the brighter side, man.

"Well... Anything could happen!" he exclaimed. I guess he read our thoughts.

"Whether we'll get ambushed or not, we'll fight together. It'll be great if we quickly clear our area, we might join the others to help them clear theirs. Anyways, it'll be fun." Nauri smiled.

"Well, let's bring out our weapons." Aerl said. Glarion opened his Scroll and started entering some code.

Nauri materialized her crystal rapier. I noticed her crystal ring. I glowed back when she materialized it.

Dante materialized his weapon as well and he also has a ring like Nauri but his wears a metal ring that somewhat shimmer.

"Is that a real soul gem?" Aerl and I asked simultaneously.

"Hahaha! No, it's just an artificial one. I only fuse my Wind Magick with it to make it more powerful." she chuckled.

"It's the same for Dante, he just fuses his magic that makes him swift and powerful so that he could swing his scythe to his heart's content at full force." she added.

All of a sudden, a rocket-propelled object similar to a locker just crashed behind us. We were all surprised by this sudden event except for Jack, Glarion and Aerl.

"Sorry about that..." Glarion apologized.

"It's alright." Jack answered.

"Wha- What was that?!" I exclaimed.

"That was a Launchpad. It's for rent. You can put all your stuff in there and then put your own code via your Scroll then when you’re ready to launch, enter the code of the destined area and viola!" Nauri explained.

Glarion and Aerl started picking up things from the Launchpad. Glarion placed his two swords behind his back and put on his gauntlets. Aerl wore an orange cape and started fixing something on her long sleeved shirt. It seems like she doesn't want us to look this time.

"How about you Jack? Aren't you going to use your Witchblade?" Glarion asked as he started stretching his arms and back.

"I don't think that would be necessary to do." Jack answered as his brush off some dust off his jacket.

"How about you Pyrrha?" Glarion looked at me.

"Maybe later..."

"Okay." he smiled.

"Well then! Let's go!" Glarion yelled and I can almost see the sparkles in his green eyes.

I don't know but I think this will finish soon enough.

We'll get it all done in a short time.

There are so many things we still have to do during these days.

I'm sure it'll be a busy week.
