( A/N - So, this chapter didn't really go in the direction I expected it to go. I knew the overall ideas I wanted to portray, but the hardcore Mavid shipper part of me and I had to make it super cute. I promise, you'll love the last two paragraphs. “….Ramy?” Maia squeaked, noticing him standing there with a large bouquet of roses. “Wh-What are you doing here?”
“I came to surprise you; you didn’t call today when you said you would so I figured you’d never expect me to show up here. I planned to give you these,” he motioned at the roses in his hands. “But, I guess you’ve found someone else to give you flowers and take you out on dates,” Ramy said angrily, his facial expression unreadable.
“David and I aren’t even dating!” Maia explained, throwing her hands up in the air.
“You said you were beginning to have feelings for him. I heard that conversation you had with Cierra, don’t think I didn’t,” he argued, his eyes filled with rage.
“What if I am? Ramy, honestly, this relationship isn’t working out. I was planning on calling you earlier to break up with you but I chickened out because I felt it was more harmful to leave you over a phone call. I’m sorry,” she admitted, apologizing.
Ramy’s shoulders slumped. “This is all because of David? Some guy you work with? You promised me months ago you didn’t have a thing for him. Was that a lie too?”
“No, and this isn’t about David. I was going to leave you before I started to feel things for him. Months ago, I felt like I should’ve left you. I do admit that I used to have a small crush on him, but nothing more than that. Feeling distant from you really gave me the push to talk to him more and go out with him tonight. It’s not like you’re around a lot, either. One of us is always filming in a different location and we rarely get to see each other. It’s just not working out!” Maia snapped, narrowing her eyes at Ramy.
Meanwhile, Cierra backed away from Maia and Ramy’s fight without either of them noticing. She walked back to their table where she saw Jake and David casually talking to each other. As soon as Jake saw Cierra he began talking to her. “What took you guys so long? Making out in the bathroom or something?” He joked, looking over at David to see his reaction. David looked pissed, as always.
“Not funny,” Cierra snickered before she sat down in her seat. “Why hasn’t our food arrived yet?”
“Not sure,” Jake noted. Before he could say anything else, David cut him off.
“Where’s Maia?” he asked suspiciously.
“Oh, about that,” Cierra started, trying to suppress a giggle. She decided to play with David. “Ramy surprised her while we were talking. He had a huge bouquet of roses and everything, it was adorable! They’re probably making out in the bathroom by now,” she joked, almost breaking her act by laughing at the look on David’s face. He looked mortified.
“You okay there, bud?” Jake asked David, patting him on the back and laughing.
“Uh, yeah, I just. I don’t know. Good for her,” he spat. He took a large swig of his beer and put it down, obviously pissed. Cierra started laughing, hard. David looked at her with a confused face. “What are you laughing at?”
“I’m totally joking! You should see the look on your face!” She laughed, pointing at David and taking a quick picture of him on her phone. “This is going to go viral!” She said as she was posting the photo on Twitter and Instagram. “Ramy did surprise Maia with roses, but it’s after she told me about her, and I quote, ‘realization of her feelings for David’. They’re fighting right now and its getting pretty heated,” she admitted to David, laughing as his face changed to a different facial expression.
