Maia woke up to the loud beeping of her alarm clock telling her to get up and get ready for work. She turned her alarm on snooze and lied back in bed, thinking about yesterday. She remembered the way David’s lips felt against hers; gentle, soft and smooth. She never had a kiss that was so electrifying and meaningful before. She closed her brown eyes and envisioned David’s gorgeous face. She thought about his killer cheekbones and jaw, the way his eyes sparkled when he looked at her and the little crease on his forehead when he is frustrated or stressed. Maia wished he didn’t have to leave last night so soon after their kiss. She would’ve loved if he stayed and held her while they watched a movie and fell asleep together on her couch.

With all the thinking of David, she decided to check her phone to see if there were any texts or calls from him. She scrolled down her notifications tab and saw a bunch of texts from Cierra and one from her close friend, Jill, but none from David. She sighed and threw her phone on her bed, making sure to shut her alarm off so it wouldn’t ring again.  “Ugh,” she said aloud to herself, obviously angry. Why hasn’t he called me? she asked herself, confused. She thought they both liked the kiss they shared last night. Maybe he’s having second thoughts?      Maia tried to push the thought out of her mind as she got up to get ready for the day.

Meanwhile, David was lying awake on his couch while eating breakfast before work. He was so worried that Maia was having second thoughts about the amazing kiss they both experienced last night. In the back of his mind, he was terrified Maia was going to wake up regretting what happened with him and wanting to get back together with Ramy. He wished if that were the case, he could take back the kiss. At the same time, he never wanted to take back what happened because it was so magical. He had never felt the things he felt during that kiss with anyone else before, on or off screen. There was something he couldn’t put his finger on that happened while they were kissing; it was almost like an invisible line that connected them making them feel like one person instead of two.

He grabbed his phone from the table beside his couch and let his finger hover above the call button opposite to Maia’s contact information. He wanted to call her so badly but didn’t want to bother her. Or, of course, in case she wanted to forget the kiss ever happened due to second thoughts. Ever since he woke up his mind was focusing on the possibility of this and it was practically killing him. He needed to see her again, needed to kiss her again. They were both due on set in less than two hours so he figured he would go a bit early and hope to speak to her and give her a chance to back out. He sure hoped she didn’t.

A little less than two hours later, Maia was talking in her trailer to Cierra. She was sitting at the seat in front of her vanity, doing her own touch-ups. Normally, she had people to do this for her but she occasionally wanted to do it on her own so she would look the way she wanted too.

“So, tell me all the details about what happened between you and David last night!” Cierra giggled, sitting on Maia’s black love seat and fiddling with a piece of her perfectly curled hair.

“Um, well,” Maia started, blushing wildly. “He took me home and we ate our food from the restaurant together and then he said some really, really sweet things…” She continued, not exactly sure how to tell Cierra about the kiss.
