Maia ran down the hill to meet her Father, David and Charlie on the playground. She ran up the stairs and hugged her brother from behind, picking him up and spinning him around. “Hey, put me down!” Charlie yelled jokingly.

“Fine.” Maia put Charlie down. He ran the opposite direction as her and slid down the slide. Maia walked around the playground and found David sitting sideways in a blue tunnel slide.

“Having fun there?” Maia asked. She got into the slide beside him and sat opposite of him. She looked into his brown eyes and smiled. “You look sad.”

“I’m not,” he promised. He reached over and laid his hand on her thigh. “I just miss you.”

“I’m right here, silly,” she giggled. She placed her hand over his, lacing their fingers together.

“I know. It’s stupid; I just miss lying in my bed with you. I know that wasn’t more than a couple of hours ago but I still miss it,” he admitted.

“You’re too cute,” she said. She began to lean over to kiss him before they were interrupted by Charlie.

“Move over, lovebirds. I want to go down the slide,” Charlie said, his hands on both hips.

“Aye-Aye, Captain!” David exclaimed before pulling Maia onto his lap and pushing them down the slide. Maia let out a cute shriek as they unexpectedly fell off the bottom of the slide. David landed on top of Maia and he was staring at her.

“Are you going to kiss me or are you just going to waste the moment?” Maia teased, hinting at what she wanted. David chuckled before leaning down and kissing Maia’s lips softly. He missed the taste of her lips so much; if possible, he could get drunk from the sweet taste of her lips. Maia wrapped her arms around David’s body, kissing him back. She smiled brightly into the kiss as David placed his soft hands upon her cheeks and stroked them softly.

“Ahem,” Maia’s dad said, standing above them. Maia and David pulled away from each other and looked up; clearly embarrassed.

“Sorry, Dad,” Maia blushed ferociously. She stood up and brushed the sand off from her clothes.

“It’s alright. Just keep that stuff for the bedroom,” he said firmly before walking away to play with Charlie. Maia took David’s hands and led him to the swings. They each sat on one and began swinging.

“What’s with my parents, ugh,” Maia complained.

“What do you mean?” David asked, slowing down his swing so he could look at Maia closer.

“After Charlie, Dad and you went to the playground my mom, uh,” she blushed. “She gave me a box of condoms. And then my dad, saying to keep it in the bedroom? We haven’t even done that yet.”

“There just concerned parents and they want you to be safe, I guess. Plus, you are twenty-one. They expect you to have sex regularly,” he chuckled and began swinging again.

Maia continued to swing in silence. Her thoughts started drifting places she didn’t want them to be. She began to wonder if David didn’t like her anymore because she wouldn’t sleep with him.  What if he would leave her because of that? Stop thinking like that, Maia, she silently yelled at herself. But what if he really did feel like that? “David?” She asked quietly.

“What is it, M?” hereplied, dragging his feet on the ground to stop his swing.

“Do you hate me because I haven’t slept with you yet?” she asked, biting her lip. She kicked the ground to distract herself. She was scared of his answer. After a couple of seconds of silence, she finally looked up at him. He was looking at her very, very confused. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
