Danny stood at the entrance to the school, receiving side glances and looks from other students as he slowly walked by them. Some cheerleaders leaned close together and whispered to one another while staring at him. Rumors about the fight spread around the halls and everyone had heard that "Danny Storm chickened out" when it came to going up against Johnny. He walked down the hall, and every pair of eyes continued to follow him as he did so. Danny took it well though, keeping his head and his eyes forward, not giving into the fear of being an "outcast".
"Welcome to the club." Mollie said, surprising Danny as he rounded a corner to get to his locker. He jumped slightly and looked at the former cheerleader and smirked.
"Club?" Danny asked, reaching his locker and beginning to open it.
"'The Outcasts' I think we're called. After the way you entered the school, there's no way you can't be in it now." Mollie said, smiling slightly despite the circumstances of their "club".
"So I'm guessing it's the five of us right?" Danny continued to talk with her, grabbing some books from his locker and stuffing his bag into it.
"Yeah. Unless you count Cooper and Jade as one. They're always together so it makes sense." Mollie replied with a shrug.
"I'll think about joining. Maybe I'll go loner and become a hobbit." he joked with her, smiling as he began walking to his class. She couldn't help but smile back as she turned around and went the opposite way, heading for her own class.

It was that time again, the five had gotten halfway through Professor Romero's class while he droned on and on about that day's topic. Jade and Cooper were sitting in the back, spaced out completely and not following along. Javier was doodling in his notebook, while Romero thought he was taking notes. Mollie was staring down at her lap, scrolling through an app on her phone while one of the bigger kids sat in front of her and gave her cover. Danny was attempting to not fall asleep in his textbook, his face slowly sliding off his hand towards the heavy object. After his falling out with Sophie and Skylar, he had moved to the back of the class.
"Alright, I think now is a good time to assign those group assignments I talked about at the beginning of the class!" Professor Romero said loudly, slapping his hands together.
"Group assignments?" Jade asked, causing Cooper to shake his head and look at her. Mollie looked up from her phone, clearly not having heard that part either. Danny's face finally slid down, smacking into the pages of the textbook before he quickly shot back up. His eyes were wide and he looked around but saw that no one was looking at him.
"Mr. Vasquez!" Professor Romero said, bringing Javi out of his doodle session and into the real world. Javier put down his pencil and looked up at his teacher, expecting to be scolded.
"You'll be paired up with Miss Summers, Mr. Hayward, Miss Gryphon, and Mr. Storm." Professor Romero said with a smile, reading off of his attendance sheet.
"All the freaks got paired together. What luck." Johnny said with a smirk, causing all of his buddies to start laughing. Javier turned around, looking at the others who were all staring forward in confusion about being paired together.
The rest of the class went by quickly. Michelle and Darnell ended up getting paired with some upperclassmen, but both were bummed that they couldn't get into a group with Javi. Johnny, Sophie, Skylar, and two of Johnny's buddies ended up in a group together and Mollie quickly assumed that their project would be the worst one out of all the groups. After assigning all the groups, Professor Romero would then assign a topic of Psychology to each group.
