Mollie stood in the hallway, her arms crossed across her chest as she kicked around a small pebble that was on the ground. She sighed softly, putting the pebble under her shoe and rolling it around with her foot. She looked up slightly, looking into the apartment where Cooper was moving super fast in a circle around Javi. The speedy teen came to a halt, breathing heavily and putting his hands on his knees.

"Cooper." Mollie softly spoke. He shook his head, staring at the look of fear that was stuck on Javi's stone face.

"I have to be able to do something." Cooper said, running at super speed again around the statue.

The thundering sound of footsteps running up the stairs attracted Mollie's attention. Kayleigh and Drew were side by side as they sprinted up the steps, looking down the hall and seeing Mollie standing there with a sorrowful expression plastered on her face. Kayleigh could feel the tension in the air.

"Jade? Javi?" Kayleigh asked, walking up to Mollie. The older Lieutenant put her hands on the girls arms, who stared at the ground. Drew walked into the open apartment, looking at the blurry circle that was Cooper sprinting around Javi. Cooper lost control, flying into the wall and crashing hard into the ground. He slammed his fist into the wooden floorboards and was right back onto his feet.

"Cooper." Drew said sternly, grabbing the boy before he could start running again. Cooper tried to push away from him but quickly gave up, not having the strength to struggle.

"What happened?" Kayleigh asked, stepping into the apartment now. Mollie followed slowly behind her, walking up to the statue of Javi while Kayleigh stood in the living room, frozen in place.

"This girl from our school, Sophie, had... powers. She just touched him and he became this." Mollie spoke up, putting her hand on Javi's arm. "She was with one of our teachers who cold turn into this all black thing."

"Dark Diablo." Kayleigh and Drew muttered at the same time. "Which teacher?" Drew asked.

"Professor Romero." Cooper quietly added in. Drew let go of Cooper, remembering back to earlier in the day when he had crossed paths with the professor, and hours later a superpowered Johnny was attacking him.

"Did... did they mention anything about a Higher Being?" Drew asked.

"Drew, that isn't important right now." Kayleigh scolded.

"Kay, this is the exact time. We have no idea where Danny went, where Jade is, how to fix Javi. If they mentioned the Higher Being, then it gives us a connection." Drew said.

"Danny was with you?" Mollie asked, her brown eyes shining as the sun was at its peak, peering through the hole that was on the side of the apartment.

"He ran off after we talked about Johnny attacking Drew." Kayleigh said.

"Johnny attacked you?" Cooper and Mollie asked in unison, looking at the man who nodded his head.

"Had the strength of King Kong too. It was insane. But he mentioned a Higher Being." Drew said, trying to bring the topic full circle.

"Yeah. Professor Romero did this weird voice thing and spoke to me as if he was someone else." Cooper said. "It was... odd." Drew and Kayleigh looked at each other, and Mollie picked up on it.

"What is it?" Mollie asked.

"Nothing." Kayleigh reassured. The four were silent for a moment before they all looked at the statue of Javi.

"Come on, let's move that to our new hideout while everything settles down." Drew said. He walked up to the statue with Kayleigh and the two picked it up, hurrying it out of the apartment and stopping in the hall.
