"Who do you think you are?" the Higher Being said, stepping towards Graham.

"We should really get into cover." Kayleigh whispered to Drew and Graham, trying to get out of the direct line of fire.

"I'm the son of a bitch who's going to get rid of you, and those powered freaks!" Graham shouted at the alien. He fired his pistol two more times, both shots hitting the Higher Being in the chest. The bullets immediately dropped onto the ground once hitting the Higher Being, causing Graham to pause and reevaluate the plan.

"Come on." Drew said, grabbing Kayleigh's wrist. The two began to run, looking back to see a ball of electricity coming their way from the Higher Being. It hit both adults at their feet, sending them flying backwards.

"They shouldn't have done this." FC whispered to himself, slowly raising himself onto his knees.

"Men. Open fire!" Graham shouted, dropping to the ground as soldiers began to come out from the woods, opening fire on the Higher Being. Everything slowed down as FC's eyes went wide. He saw a storm of bullets heading his way as well. Quickly he stood up, his head pounding, and turned around, sprinting away from the scene and towards the school.

"Jade?" Javi asked, his hands igniting, the fire slowly spreading up his arms. He could see he his own breathe as he spoke thanks to the ice Jade had caused to spread throughout the auditorium. Jade had been completely covered in ice at this point, sitting on a throne created by her that was right in the middle of the stage. Javi slowly walked towards her, his shoes causing the ice to crack due to the heat his body was giving off. Once the fire on him began to spread more, the floor beneath him began melting, causing the carpeted floor to sound squishy.

"Of course the annoying one comes here." Jade spits out at him. Javi stopped moving, balling his hands up into fists.

"You don't mean that. That's that thing talking." Javi said, trying to brush past the insult.

"If that's what you think, you're dumber than we all thought." Jade said, laughing obnoxiously. Javi looked toward the ground, closing his eyes and shaking his head. "Yeah. The four of us always talked about you. The weak link. Dumber. Slower. Weaker. If I remember right, you couldn't even stay on the football team?"

"Save her. Save her. Don't hurt. Save." Javi whispered to himself, remembering what Cooper had said. Jade stood up off of her ice throne, slowly walking to the edge of the stage. Javi looked up instinctively.

"None of them will care when I get rid of you." Jade said. Right after her eyes went wide realizing what words had come out of her mouth. Her jaw dropped as she looked at Javi, who had the same reaction.

"Ah screw it." Javi said, shrugging. He aimed his fists forward, creating a flamethrower as a consistent wave of fire shot out at Jade, hitting her chest and sending her crashing through her throne.

"You son of a-" Jade shouted, standing up slowly, the ice armor on her chest slowly dripping down onto the ground. Her words were cut off as Javi shot another blast of fire at her. Quickly she raised her arms, causing a wall of ice to raise in front of her. The wall was quickly destroyed by the fire blast, sending tiny shards of ice in all directions.

"Please just make this easy." Javi asked, stepping towards the stage. In Jade's hand an icicle quickly formed, and she used it as a weapon, throwing it at Javi who shot fire at it. The two attacks cancelled each other out, and Javi climbed onto the stage.

Jade swung at Javi, who ducked under the slow punch and without thinking created another flamethrower into her stomach, sending her flying through the actual wall of the school. Javi winced as he watched fly out into the parking lot. He sprinted to the wall and jumped through the hole he created. He saw Jade lying in the empty lot. Javi slowly stepped towards her, stopping just in time as a sharp piece of ice rose out of the ground right in front of his face.
