Cooper opened his locker, placing a textbook inside of it. He grabbed two notebooks out of it, and turned to put them into his bag. Instantly they were slapped out of his hand, which was accompanied by an obnoxious laugh. Johnny threw up a middle finger, walking down the hall with his posse of football players behind him. Cooper sighed, bending down to pick up the books and looked up to see Sophie meeting up with Johnny, the two sharing a kiss.

Cooper walked down the hall, entering the classroom and taking a seat in the back left corner. He threw his hood up, covering his face mostly and leaning back in the chair. He turned his head slightly, looking at the empty desk that was next to him. He felt a tightening feeling in his chest and something caught in his throat as he looked at it.

Entering the classroom next was Johnny, accompanied by a few of his friends, Sophie, and her friend Skylar. The group took up the back right corner of the classroom, all gossipping among themselves. After them entered the three freshmen, Javier, Michelle, and Darnell. They took their normal seats in front of Cooper and began to chat non stop as usual.

"Like I said. It's done. Over with. I ignored you guys and I'm sorry." Javier spoke to the two in a hushed tone.

"It's fine bro. We're just glad you're okay." Darnell said. He put his hand on his friend's shoulder and smiled. Javier looked at Michelle who nodded, not being able to hide her own smile.

Cooper looked at the doorway and saw Danny walking in with Mollie, the two practically being inseparable at this point. They both ignored any glances thrown their way by Johnny and Sophie, or any insults and took their seats at the front of the classroom.

"Excuse me for being late to class. I had to take part in a teacher's meeting." their psychology teacher spoke up, being the last to enter the class.

"Miss Carranza, I have the paper that was due." Mollie said, reaching into her bag. The young spanish woman dressed in a suit smiled and placed her bag down on her desk.

"Thank you for the reminder Mollie. Can we please pass those forward?" Miss Carranza asked, brushing her shoulder length dark brown hair behind her ear. Cooper handed his to Michelle and looked down at his notebook, beginning to doodle.

"He turned himself in the day it all ended sir. He claimed he didn't want to be forgiven or be allowed to forget." Kayleigh spoke, staring through a one sided glass into a large room with padded walls and floors. Sitting in the corner of the room was Otto Romero, wearing a white jumpsuit with his arms strapped down.

"And there are no signs of his powers?" Graham asked. He flipped through a manilla folder which was filled with reports and tests about the subject. His left eye was glassy, completely white with a large amount of tiny scars covering his face.

"No sir. All the tests show he's normal." Kayleigh said, back in her military uniform, holding her cap in her hands as she stood straight up and continued to stare through the mirror.

"Well he admitted to his crimes, and we know how dangerous he can be. We keep him here in case anything appears... It's good to have you back Lieutenant." Director Arthur Graham spoke. He placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded, disappearing into the darkness of the room they were in. Kayleigh placed the hat on her head and continued to stare out at Romero who stared at the ground.
