Cooper continued walking through the woods, his hands in his jeans as he listened to the music coming through his earbuds and felt a weird sense of uneasiness. He looked back, seeing that the black van had moved its location, appearing closer to him now. Cooper turned his head back around, thinking it must have been police making sure he didn't try to go into the woods more. The sound of a car door opening and then immediately slamming caught his attention. He turned his head again, seeing a man in all black standing there with a black skull mask. In his hand was an M16 assault rifle, aimed right at Cooper. The man fired his gun, sending a bullet flying right towards Cooper's forehead. The superpowered teen's eyes widened as the bullet slowed down, almost freezing in air completely. Cooper stepped towards it, pushing it with his finger and watching as it changed direction.
"Who are you?" Cooper asked. He then realized that he was in super speed mode and the man would be unable to hear or speak to him. Cooper moved back to where he was standing before, letting the world catch up with him.
The bullet went flying into a tree, which caused the soldier to look around in confusion. Cooper stepped forward, watching as the man fired multiple times now. Cooper sped up again, pushing the bullets out of his way and running at the man. He shoved him into the van with his shoulder and then started sprinting back towards the school, realizing the soldier was not going to speak to him at all.

Danny sat on his bed, staring at his phone and looking at the number Lieutenant Rhodes used to text him. He tossed his phone onto his pillow, sighing and standing up. He stretched his arms outward and then looked back at his phone.
"She's just gonna experiment on you." Danny muttered to himself. He thought for a second, picking up his phone again and texting her back. "I can talk to her. I'll do that."

Jade sat on the pier where she used to spend the evenings with Cooper. Obviously, things had been extremely different lately and she was having a difficult time adjusting to that. Her hands were balled up into fists, which were covered in ice. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths as the water under the pier slowly began to freeze over. Jade was doing her best not to let the powers take over, fighting the urge to lash out. While dealing with this, she was clueless to the black van that had pulled up back on the land, with four men getting out of it. Each man was armed with their own assault rifle and slowly began to walk towards the girl.

Mollie sat in the school's library, reading a book that sat on the table in front of her. She sighed, flipping a page in the book and looked around, noticing there was no teacher present. Mollie stood up, walking over to the sheet that showed who was supposed to be present and which teacher would be looking over them. Professor Romero was yet again scheduled, but since he was already absent today, the substitute must have not known she'd be in charge of detention.
"They might know if I leave early though..." Mollie whispered, turning around and going back to her table.

Javi stood at his locker, having already missed the bus after a rough day for the freshman. He grabbed his school bag from his locker and put it on his back. He slammed it shut, walking down the hall and past the main entrance. He looked over, seeing two black vans sitting outside the school with eight guys dressed in all black standing at the doors. Javi shrugged it off, walking down the hall to the gym.
He dropped his bag once he arrived in the large area, immediately heading for the weight room. Danny wasn't there today, and the football team was away for a game. Javi cracked his knuckles and sighed. He raised his fists and stood in front of a punching bag, taking a deep breath before swinging.
