Drew covered his face with his hands as a dark object flew at his windshield. Easily the object pierced, sending shards of glass flying towards Drew. He felt some of the pieces prick his hands, casing small trails of blood to start forming. Moving his arms slowly, he looked out at the silhouette that was now moving close to him. Thinking quickly, Drew reached over to the glove compartment, grabbing his Glock and a Kabar knife. The silhouette jumped onto the hood of the car as Drew reached over.

"Leave." it growled. Drew stared at in horror, seeing the body of a human that was completely shrouded in black. The whole body was black except for two glowing white eyes that stared down at Drew. An object was in the person's hand, which looked like a staff that was covered in the black substance as well.

"What the hell are you?" Drew asked, thinking out loud as the creature continued to stand on the hood of the car.

"Out." the creature growled. Drew was able to take the hint, slowly opening the car door and sliding off of his seat. He kept the gun in one hand and the knife in the other.

"I got out!" Drew shouted to the creature.

"Drop." it spoke now. The sixth subject jumped down from the hood, keeping it's distance from Drew. It slammed it's staff into the ground, causing smaller creatures that resembled it to rise from the ground.

"Holy hell." Drew muttered, taking a step back as the newly formed creatures surrounded the car. There was eight of the smaller creatures that began to rock the Jeep back and forth on all sides.

"Flip." the sixth subject ordered. Instantly the minions flipped the Jeep onto its side. Drew's mouth hung open as he slowly backed away from the sixth subject, his grip tightening on his gun.

"Kill." the sixth subject commanded, raising its arm slowly. Its finger slowly pointed at Drew, who watched the eight minions turn their attention away from the jeep and to him. Not having to think twice, Drew turned and began sprinting down the alley he was in. The eight minions followed after him, running side by side as they did. Dark Diablo slowly walked after it's minions, turning its head briefly to look at the Jeep.

The mechanical box continued to beep rapidly, picking up it's pace immensely as Dark Diablo extended it's hand outwards towards it. Climbing onto the Jeep, Dark Diablo wrapped its hand around the box, picking it up and pulling it out of the car. The sixth subject jumped down from the car and dropped the device onto the pavement. With a single stomp of its foot, the device was squashed quickly, silencing the pesky beeping it produced.

Drew turned, opening the door to an abandoned warehouse and running immediately to the back of it. Run down and rusted factory equipment sat inside of the warehouse, covered in dust. He ducked behind a stack of rusty steel beams and tried to catch his breath as quietly as he could. The eight minions sprinted through the door, all pushing into each other.

"Find." one said. Their voices were much squeakier compared to the dark, deep, and gruff growl that belonged to Dark Diablo.

"Kill." another said. The eight split apart, spreading out across the warehouse. Drew closed his eyes, clenching them shut as he held in his breath. One of the minions had begun to close on him without knowing. Two of them went to the upper floor of the warehouse, while two others had gone out a side door and looked around the outside of the building. The remaining three were on the first floor, guarding the door Drew had came in through.

"Dear God, do not let me die here." Drew whispered quietly. The minion near him turned as it got to the stack of steel beams, and then immediately stopped moving.

"Fo-" it tried to call out before Drew sliced through it with his knife. The minion disappeared into a cloud of smoke as the knife went through it, and Drew looked at the three others on the first floor that were now running at him. Lifting his gun, he fired three single shots. Each shot went through a minion, causing them to disappear into clouds of smoke as well.

The door to the warehouse was blasted off it's hinges and sent flying towards the back of the building where Drew was. It went flying right over his head as he ducked back down and saw how the door was nearly bent in half.

"Return." a dark voice demanded. The remaining minions all ran to Dark Diablo and immediately turned into clouds like the other ones that were hit by Drew.

"You can run all you please. There is no surviving." Dark Diablo said, finally making a sentence.

"Who are you?!" Drew shouted, poking his head up from behind the pile of steel beams.

"Nobody." Dark Diablo responded. Drew watched as Diablo's free hand began to create a ball that hovered in the air. Once it was as big as a basketball, Diablo threw the ball in Drew's direction. Ducking his head yet again, the ball missed him and went into the wall, disappearing and leaving a hole on the back wall in its place.

"I'd really appreciate if you didn't kill me." Drew said, staring at the hole that was created by Dark Diablo.

"Die." the creature growled.

"I can't believe this is what I'm doing with my life." Drew muttered to himself. He sprinted to the hole, diving through it and feeling another ball go flying over him.

Drew landed on his side, dropping the knife from the impact, being left with only his gun. He looked down at his hand which had a few shards of glass still sticking out of it, causing it to continue bleeding. He gritted his teeth, slowly standing up as he felt the pain of landing on his left side.

Within an instant, the wall was split open as Dark Diablo sprinted through it, running right into Drew and lifting him up into the air. Drew's eyes went wide as he was slammed into the ground, knocking the hat off of his head and making him lose the grip on his gun. Easily Dark Diablo lifted Drew back into the air and threw him into the wall of the warehouse. Drew's head smacked against it loudly, making his vision become blurry.

Drew stumbled forward, feeling Dark Diablo grab his neck with it's free hand. It lifted Drew into the air, causing him to cough out while his feet kicked out, trying to hit the sixth subject. Tightening its grip, Dark Diablo dropped it's staff onto the ground. It formed a fist with it's now right hand and proceeded to throw punch after punch into Drew's face. Blood flew out of Drew's mouth, splattering against the wall of the warehouse.

"It's over." Dark Diablo spoke angrily. Drew took one hand off of Diablo's arm and slowly reached for his back pocket. "Time to die."

"No." Drew weakly said. He grabbed a knock-out dart from his back pocket and slammed it into Dark Diablo's wrist.

"Agh!" Diablo screamed out in agony. It threw Drew back into the wall, and began to stumble away. It's staff disappeared as he moved away from it. Drew sat slumped against the warehouse wall, the side of his face swollen as blood dripped out of his mouth and onto his hoodie. He looked over and saw that Dark Diablo was already gone, disappearing into the night yet again and leaving Drew beaten and bloody.

"I need a raise." Drew muttered to himself, falling over onto the concrete and closing his eyes.
