sometimes i remember back to those days
and they felt like a dream, no, you felt like a dream
the moment i saw you i didn't know what
kind of deep affection i hold inside of me
i noticed it with the second gaze into the void
when my eyes kept on searching for you
and i absolutely had no reason to, but i still did
i was oblivious in this moment, i kept on
trying to see you, only you and it seemed like
the world stopped for this very second
just for me to see you over there, smiling
and from this moment i tried to hide it
all the feelings i hold for you, but i shouldn't
because i knew we will never be, ever
but this longing will stay, the affection won't fade
even if we were miles away, you'd be on my mind
yes, even if we were just one heart beat apart
we will never be, but that's perfectly fine
as long as i know you are happy in life
is this the biggest gift i could ever receive
