Maely lay across Calum's lap.

The room was dark, except for the light on the other side of the door.

She looked up at Calum, realizing he was staring at her. He still looked angry. He smacked her butt and Maely couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"You think that's funny?" he challenged.

She nodded her head, chuckling to herself. He smacked her again and she laughed more.

She just thought he was being playful.

His jaw clenched with frustration and Maely thought it was kinda hot.

"Keep laughing. I dare you." Calum hissed.

Just then, there was a loud scream from across the hall. Calum looked up and rolled his eyes.

Maely looked at the door, "What are they doing?"

She sat up on his lap and he involuntarily rested his chin on her head. She scratched her arm.

"Stuff..." he replied simply.

He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her shirt a bit. He traced patterns on her exposed skin and she ticked.

"Like...?" she pressed.

He sighed heavily and playfully shoved her down on the bed.

"Health class stuff..." Calum said awkwardly.

Maely crawled back over to him, laying back on his lap.

"Child!" he said irritatedly.

He shoved her off his lap again, but she was persistent.

"Oh my god, Maely!" he almost shouted.

She sat up on him and layed her head against him. He grabbed her shoulders and shook her violently.

"Stop moving so much! Jesus Christ!" Calum exclaimed.

She ignored his command and shuffled her legs until she was comfortable.

Calum put his hand over her face and shoved her back onto the bed. He held her down so she would stop moving so damn much.

She tried to get up and he smacked her leg.

"Go to bed." he growled.

"Okay." she said.

Maely tried so hard not to laugh at how much she was irritating him.

She pulled his sheets over her body, but he stopped her, "Your bed."

"I can't."

"And why not?"

"Because they're doing health class stuff!" she countered.

He sighed and layed down next to her, "Fuck you."

He pulled her closer to him and she fell silent.

When Calum was sure she was asleep, he propped himself up on his elbows. He examined her face, moving her hair from it.

Maely reminded him so much of his girlfriend, Jocelyn. He loved her very much, but she had stage 3 brain cancer. They were together till the end, and he was shattered when she died in her sleep.

Jocelyn was very pretty and sweet, but her last few weeks were hell. Most of the time she didn't recognize Calum, others she didn't want him. He drank to forget, and her death only worsened his Multi Personality Disorder.

Calum wiped the tears off his cheeks and layed back down. He pulled Maely in tight; she wasn't going to get away from him so easily.

He wouldn't let it happen.
