Another day in the life of the Crystal gems played out as usual. They were currently fighting a gem monster, but so far all of their attempts to poof it had failed. Most of their attacks were blown back at them.
"Here it comes." Garnet said bringing everyone's attention back to the gem monster. The gem monster started blowing air that it had inhaled.
"Garnet!" Blare shouted over the howling somehow gaining her attention. "I want to try something" Blare explained his plan to her summoning two katanas.
The two made eye contact for a second and she nodded her head. The plan was a go. Without any other words shared Blare jumped into the air. Garnet grabbed him by the ankles before spinning them around. As Garnet was picking up speed. Blare held out his arms pointing the two blades out, waiting for her to release him. Blare kinda hoped that was soon to because everything was starting to get blurry, and it was making him super dizzy.
Luckily, he didn't have to wait long since she had already reached peak speed, tossing Blare at the corrupted gem. The wind pushed back on his form as he was sent sailing towards the gem creature. Blare rotated his body until he started spinning as quickly as possible, imitating a drill. Closing his eyes, he hoped that the speed and rotation would be enough to pierce through the wind.
But unfortunately, when the creature turned to face him. The intense barrage of wind slowed down the combined attack and sent Blare crashing into the sand below with a scream.
"Blare!" The gem in question barely heard Steven yell. Slowly sitting up he attempted to ignore the intense pulsing pain through his back and shoulders. Before Blare could really get his bearings, Steven was racing to his aid.
"Are you ok?" Steven asked, pulling Blare back to his feet.
"I'm fine, did I get close at least?" Blare groaned, brushing the sand off his clothes. Please tell him that the pain was somewhat worth his time and the combined effort.
"You almost touched it, but you got blown back at the last second." Steven answered. Blare sighed in defeat fighting the urge to flop on the ground.
"Here comes Garnet," Amethyst shouted pointing at the sky. They all watched as she too got close to the monster before being blown away. "Ah man we blew it."
Amethyst was over our current situation and smacked it into the ocean. "Amethyst! Smacking it really far away doesn't solve anything. Now it's just going to come back later." Pearl pointed out.
"Yeah, so we'll deal with it later." Amethyst said I nodded in agreement with her. "She's right that will give us time to formulate a better plan of action." Blare added reluctantly moving from his place on the beach.
"Let's get Garnet she landed by the boardwalk." Steven suggested, changing the subject. They all agreed making their way into town.
When we got to the crash site some man was yelling at Garnet. Blare instantly recognized where they were and sneered seeing were she landed. Fish Stew Pizza Steven's favorite substitute for his and Pearl's cooking.
To say that he utterly despised the place was an understatement. This place was the reason Steven declined many of the ideas he had for lunch and dinner, and now this puny man is yelling at Garnet.
"Garnet! Are you okay?" Steven asked, running up to the pizzeria. "I'm fine." Garnet told him, jumping down from their roof. Blare didn't even hide his smile at the damage done to the roof. "This place is wrecked. Give me one down low." Amethyst said impressed by the result of Garnet's crash.
