Chapter 10-Coach Steven

In a ray of shining light, the gems had arrived at the location of their next mission. "Woah What magical place of mysteries is this?" Steven asked. The structure was massive and glowed strangely.

The gems had just arrived at the communication hub. Pearl as per usual was on a rant about the communication hub, and Steven didn't understand a thing she was saying, "What's that mean?"

"It's hurting television." Garnet answered simply.

That was more than enough to convince Steven. "Noooo! Don't worry I'll save you television!" Steven yelled. Trying to destroy the tower by himself.

Amethyst laughed at his cute attempt at taking the tower down. "It's going to take a little more than that Steven." Blare told him, fighting the urge to laugh with Amethyst. It was cute that Steven wanted to help so badly.

"Blare's right we need a Steven at least this strong for this job." Amethyst said shapeshifting into Steven.

Steven's eyes sparkled at the more muscular version of himself. "It's all the me I could be." Steven said with a big smile.

"Amethyst we could be here all day taking these pillars out individually." Pearl sighed, but she also had that look on her face again.

"I hate it when your right you get this look on your face. Yeah, that's the one." Amethyst said frowning at Pearl. Amethyst counted the days until she didn't have to see that smug face again. Which unfortunately hadn't passed four days.

"What we need is a well thought out plan!" Pearl said with a smug look on her face.

"Pearl, we don't need a plan for everything." Blare groaned, leaning against one of the pillars. If he could shift into his true form such a task would be trivial.

"What we need is Sugilite. Amethyst fuse with me." Garnet asked.

Blare quickly got up "Garnet..." He whispered.

"What!?" Amethyst and Pearl shouted for very different reasons.

Amethyst ran around cheering Steven joining her not long after. Blare was still trying to get over the shock alongside Pearl. "Wait! Garnet think about this you and Amethyst can be a little...unstable when your personalities combine. We need to careful fuse with me instead." Pearl begged.

"We don't need to be careful we just need to be huge." Garnet stated, walking away.

"Oh yeah! Let's wreak this joint!" Amethyst cheered.

The 'plan' was set in stone, so Blare stood next to Steven frowning at the idea. Blare was slightly jealous of Amethyst in this moment. Yet, he couldn't get past the long list of cons and the shiver that ran down his back every time. It was annoying, but he was happy that Amethyst was able to fuse so freely.

Blare watched as Garnet danced her moves were confident, and she seemed completely comfortable and sure of herself. It looked like so much fun something more than a fusion for power. He'd be lucky if he ever got to experience anything like what Crystal Gems had. A fusion forged with absolute trust and care in one another. It was a...rare experience for sure.

The two fused into a giant purple gem. "I forgot how great it is to be me." She laughed stretching as if she had been sitting for a long time.

"That's Sugilite!" Steven shouted, looking up at the massive fusion.

"You got it baby. Hey, Steven, you wanna see something cool?" She asked. Without another word she summoned Garnet's gauntlets grabbing the combined piece with Amethyst whip. Thus, creating her fused weapon a flail.
