Chapter 57- Back to the Moon

A/N: Hi everyone, I hope you guys liked the reveal of corrupted Carnelian, and I hope you like this next chapter. Thanks for being so patient once again. I'm back in school again, so in my off time in my schedule I'll write the next chapter. I'm working on how I can work in a regular every week or every other week update.

For those of you that are ready for Black Diamond (aka Blare) to rejoin the Crystal Gems we're getting there, so buckle up for the crazy ride that is the next chapter.

Thanks again for all of your support, votes, fun comments, and amazing fanart. I really appreciate it. I never would have thought this story would have gotten this far.

At some point this weekend or next week I'll be releasing a poll. I just need to finish the art for it.

"The rubies are back?" Steven asked, staring up at the squad trapped in water. "They showed up on their little ship acting very angry, so I put them in time out." Lapis stated "I thought we were done with these guys." Steven said, walking closer. "Why did you come back here?" However he didn't get a response from any of them.

"Let's just release one and just ask what they're up to." Garnet suggested. Steven instantly lit up at the idea, "Ooh! Ooh! Can I pick?" Garnet giving him a short go ahead. With new found anticipation Steven walked up to the five bubbles. "Hmmm...oh! Let's talk to Leggy!"

Pearl frowned in response, "Leggy?" She questioned. "I named them based on the placement of their gems. There's Leggy, Army, Navy, Eyeball, and uh..." Steven took a pause, his finger pointing at the last Ruby. "Doc." He finished deciding on a name for the remaining gem.

"Leggy seems like the easiest to talk to." Steven explained. "Leggy, come on down!" Lapis smiled, bringing a finger down to release the chosen Ruby, who unceremoniously fell to the ground with an audible thud. "Hey! Hi, I'm Steven. What brings you back to Earth?" Steven asked, with a friendly smile. "Uh...I...don't...know?" She hesitantly answered. "Oh uh, I understand. I used to forget why we'd go on missions all the time." Steven reassured her. "I'll just go stand over here then." Leggy said, chuckling nervously.

"Let's take a chance on Army." Steven suggested. Without a reply Lapis popped the bubble. Though the greeting they got wasn't what they expected. Army fell to the ground much like Leggy, but she quickly got to her feet with a growl. "AAAHHH! I'll tear you limb from-Huh?" Her rage was swiftly interrupted by Garnet. Holding the Ruby by her uniform at eye level, "Hey. Don't be like that." Army despite her words, continued to struggle in her grip. "Why, I ought to--" The ruby threatened.

"Aww." Garnet smiled tucking the ruby under her arm. "Next!" Garnet called, as Army continued to struggle. "Uh...Navy?" Steven said, unsure at this point about receiving an answer. She stood in front of them for a second lightly scratching her chin.

"If I remember correctly we were on Earth..." She paused realizing that they were all staring at her. "Uuhh, this is so embarrassing." Navy turned away from them with a blush, waiting a second before turning to look at them again. Only to get even more embarrassed and run to her fellow Rubies.

"Ok, uh...Eyeball?" Steven smiled at the gems, shrugging his shoulders. Taking that as her que, Lapis released the eye gem ruby. "I'm not telling y'all nothing about nothing." She growled, crossing her arms. At this point the gems had begun to question whether or not they would get any information.
