So, this here Imagine is inspired by Ariana Grande's song 'In My Head', though, for some reason, my mind put an incredibly werid twist on the lyrics within the song. So here we are and I hope you enjoy.

Also, I personally haven't come across something like this before but if you have, let me know because then I'm not the only other person here with a messed up mind.

One more thing, let me know after reading this imagine if you want a part two, it could be a backstory or a continuation, let me know xx

I take my glass of chilled water off the bench in front of me. The glass was cold and dripping with condensation. Before bringing my drink to my dry lips, I chew on my fingernail, the damn thing a bother. Ripping it off thankfully without a skin tear, I feel it sit on my tongue. Taking a sip of my water, I force down the nail before coughing and spitting the water all over the floor. The nail now missing.

I wipe my mouth and place the glass back on the surface. My lips felt better now. Brushing a strand of hair behind my ear, I walk through the main room, my siblings ignoring my presence. I too, ignore them. Pulling on my yellow sundress made of thin material, I walk though the large glass doors.

The sunlight hits my skin. It was warm and comforting. I smile, closing my eyes for a moment as I soak in the warmth. Letting my lips curl into a sweet smile. Letting out a long breath, I open my eyes and hurry out into the lavish garden.

"I was wondering when you we're going to wake up." It was his voice. He was here. He was finally here. I turn to him, my eyes spilling with tears of happiness. His warm, golden eyes meet mine, soft and kind, his lips plump and his hair catching the morning sun. Seeing him, standing there, it was almost like he wasn't real.

"I missed you." That's all he had to say for me to run into his warm, loving embrace.
"When did you get back?" My arms circle behind his neck, the short, soft strands of his hair twirling through my fingers as I dreamily look into his eyes that gently crease with happiness.

"Last night. I was going to come by and surprise you but, it was late." His eyes move to a strand of hair that had fallen by my face. His eyes flick back into mine before he smiles and brushes his fingers agaisnt my warm face. Tingles race across the skin that felt his touch as he lets my hair twirl around his finger before placing it behind my ear.

His hand cups my cheek, cold. A tear escapes my eyes as I place my hand on his, closing my eyes and letting out a sob.
"I missed you so much. I won't let you go, not again." Letting out a shaky breath, he tenderly wipes under my eyes, taking away my sadness.

"Don't cry." His words were soft. He begins to lean closer, his lips a breath away. I begin to close my eyes when I catch him look over my shoulder. His breath falters and he blinks, looking to me with guilt in his eyes. "I'll be back, I promise."

I'd heard those words before. I knew what they meant. I didn't dare look over my shoulder incase he would leave again. I held him tighter, breathed in his musky pine scent and memoried the gold nestled in his eyes. I made sure I had one good look at him.

"I love you." He whispers, pressing his forehead gently agaisnt mine. I close my eyes, feeling my tears begin to stream down my face.
As I say those three words, I feel him fade away. I open my eyes and feel my arm get taken hold of forcefully but not hard enough to leave a bruise.

They weren't allowed to leave bruises because if they did, I would be able to leave.

"Miss, l/n. That is quite enough out of you." I'm turned around, facing a pair of cold, lifeless eyes. "You didn't take your medication today. That's strike three." My hands shake. "It's time for you to learn your lesson."

Another pair of hands take my arm. I'm led back towards my home. Walking back through the main room, I no longer see my siblings. But instead, people wearing white gowns and wristbands. People with grey skin and downcast eyes. People talking to walls, scratching at their skin or drawing indescribable pictures.

Curious, I looked down at my sundress.
"No." I wimper, the gorgeous yellow now white with a few stains. My bare feet feel the cold concrete and my silky hair turns to straw.

Exhausted, I continue to quietly sob. I'm placed in isolation, the only window a small crack in the door. The light over head was yellow toned and would flicker every now and again.

Seating me down on the metal bed with a thin mattress, a cold hand grabs hold of my lower jaw as a pill is forced down the back of my throat. Swallowing the dry pill, I sob.

Before she closed the door, she looks to me with a frown.
"I'm disappointed in you, child." I rest my head against the cold wall, my mind distant.
"I'm sorry, mother." My vision blurs and the door softly shuts, closing me off from the rest of the world.

Letting out a shaky breath, I focus my eyes on my wrist. More importantly, the patient wristband dangling. To remind myself of the monster I am, I read the diagnosis once again.
