SOMETHING SMALL AND SWEET

Hello there my amazing readers. Now, I said imagines were going to become more frequent and yet here we are, with another huge time gap between the last.

I do apologize, life just simply gets in the way. Especially school and sometimes, writing just gets tough. I write a sentence and the inspiration just falls short.

But, it's now the school holidays and I'm hoping I can write more imagines for this book and my other one which I'm also slacking on.

I do hope you enjoyed this imagine though!

This isn't going to be getting a part two. I know it seems like it as I put a 1 in the title but basically 'Moments Like These', are going to be mini imagines that have no relation and are just imagines based off sudden inspiration that I don't know how to make into a lengthy imagine. Hopefully you all don't mind.

But please leave your thoughts in the comments and give this a vote, I'd appreciate it. And I assure you, more imagines will come your way shortly.

Thanks for sticking with me xx

P.S Wrong Number part two is in the works and is nearly done, so, expect it soon

The day was slipping away, the orange and pink hues of the sunset outside our windows filled the dusty, cluttered room. The golden light highlighted the dust particles in the air and reminded me that I had to clean more often. If only my life was much slower.

The soft rustle of a jacket sounded to my ears as Shawn lifted himself off the sofa, his eyes blinking more frequently though were now much slower, tired blinks; as though he would fall asleep at any moment. I smile adoringly up at him as he passes by, his large hand running softly over my head, taking strands of hair with it and moving them behind me. I close my eyes at his touch and inhale the sweet, musky pine that belonged to him.

I lay on the leather sofa and rest my eyes shut as I hear the rustle of cups and soon the running of the tap. Shawn makes he way back over, his hand now grazing my cheek as I hear him place down his cup. I feel him sit against the couch, his back at my side as he leans his head back, resting on my stomach as I flutter open my eyes, seeing his are closed.

"It's been a long day." I whisper softly as a small mumur leave his plump lips that were beginning to grow dry to the cold weather returning home in Canada. I run my fingers through his brown hair, a few strands gold in the last few streaks of sunlight as his hair seemlessly flows through; silky soft. I tenderly scratch his head with my nails and he nestles his head further on my stomach, beginning to relax as a deep exhale releases from his lungs. I smile and continue to slowly stroke my fingers through his hair.

Time passes by and the sun disappears beyond the mountains and shadows begin to dance around the room. My eyes were now shut and my breathing slow and steady as my fingers continue to comb through his hair, my movements becoming slow and less frequent as the sounds of life outside begin to grow distant.

My mind becomes clouded and sleep begins to call my name. I inhale deeply and my fingers come to a stop as a soft snore leaves Shawn. My hand slowly falls down the side of Shawn's head and brushes his ear and then shoulder, falling beside the couch as darkness takes me in.

My mind soon morphs into colour of dreams. Shawn and love and memories. I smile at the thought of us together forever and moments like these that are so simple yet so incredible.
