Be warned, as before you right now is quite possibly the most heartfelt, sad and emotional piece of writing I have ever written.

Sitting in the police station, I wanted to scream. Or cry. Or punch something. I also wanting the humming of the water tank to stop so that perhaps I could wrap my head around my swarming thoughts. But what I wanted more then ever, was for a police officer to walk back through those doors and to simply say that he was alive.
