I was at my parents house, did they catch me or something? I wasn't sure what was going on, everything was so hazy. They forced me to go to my room, then locked me in there. I think they're going to starve me, just like they said. I wished I hadn't run away. I still would've been starved, but at least I wouldn't be so tired. I looked around my room. It looked different. My bed was gone, there was no bathroom, and my dresser was gone. I went to go bang on my bedroom door, but it had vanished.

"You shouldn't have run away," a creepy voice from a horror movie said. "Now you pay for it, for it , for it."

I then jolted awake.

"Oh good it was just a dream." I whispered to myself.

"Are you sure it was a dream? It seemed more like a nightmare to me." A voice had said.

"Wait am I still dreaming? Who are you?"

"No you're not dreaming, and I'm Zach. Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I thought you saw me here."

I looked over to where I heard the voice. There was a boy leaning against one of the trees.

"Oh hi. I'm Kendall"

"Hi Kendall, nice to meet you. So what brings you here?"

"Well I ran away from home."

"Really? Well I had run away from home a year ago. What's your reasoning?"

"Well my parents were abusing me, they were going to starve me to death, and my Mom got pregnant."

"Wow. Well I couldn't stand being at home. My mom had passed away, and my dad got married to some other chic who hated me. He promised he wouldn't get married after mom died."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that."

"That's ok. I like it out here way better. Well once you get up, I'll show you were I've been living for the past year."

"Ok, just let me grab a drink, and some food, and I'll be right there."

I then reached into my bag to get some water, and get some Fruit Loops I packed up in a little plastic bag. I then folded up my blankets, and put them in my bag. I got up, and walked over to Zack.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

We walked, and walked, and walked. It was very nice walking through the woods with someone. We did get to know each other a lot better though. I felt bad for him. He lost his mom, his dad didn't keep his promise, and then his step mom hates him. I don't know how you could hate this boy. He seemed very nice. About 2 hours later we finally came to a stop.

"Alright, here we are! This is where I live!"

"Wow, it's beautiful!"

I saw a hammock, a little bed, a fire pit, a tire with rope attached to the tree branch, and a little area to keep food, and drinks cool.

"Did you make this yourself?"

"Yup, now come on, I'll help you make a hammock."

"Um ok, but why?"

"Because, you're going to stay here with me, right?"
