He finally leaves after an excruciating five minutes. I wait a little longer to make sure he is gone. I make my way out from under the desk and put in the code again and grab the keys.

Sprint walking towards the front door, I look for a silver key with the number 19 on it, the number of our house.

I find the key, my heart leaping out of my chest. I put the key in the whole, but I can't make myself turn it.

What if something bad happens? No, I can't think that way, I'm already here. The image of the silhouette returns to my mind.

I try to think about the pros and cons. The cons definitely win by a fricken long shot.

After a great debate takes place in my mind, I decide to go with my gut.

I grab my faux fur coat and navy boots. Good thing no one can see me in my pajamas.

I turn the key and open the door my hands shaking with fear. The wind howls as I open the door making it swing fully open from the force of the wind.

I struggle to close it behind me. I don't see any street lights, so I reach for my phone to use my flashlight.

I soon feel tears on the sides of my eyes. It's cold, not just cold but you can feel the anger of the wind. I almost stumble backward but regain my balance.

I need to figure out what that shadow was. Was it a person? Out in a storm, what are they mad? Okay...I'm one to talk.

I begin to trudge over to the houses where I saw it. I hear myself saying "Hello?" I look up at the roof of the building like an idiot. It's been ages since I saw it, it's probably long gone.

"Hello? My name's Alex," I hit myself over the head, there is clearly something wrong with me.

I look around frantically, the wind messing up my sight.

Just then I hear something, it sounds like a laugh. I look behind me trying to navigate the laugh.

"Hello? Is someone there?" This time I know I hear someone laugh.

I begin to feel uneasy. I start to walk back to my house, thinking this isn't a good idea.

"Leaving already?" a voice calls out.

I freeze in my tracks. I turn around to see a shadow of a person. I can tell by their voice that they're male. Deep and husky.

I can't make myself speak. I start to feel my stomach turn.

He steps an inch closer, as I step backward. "Who are you?" I ask with hesitation.

He chuckles before answering, "I'm February."
