Alex's POV
The first day back to school was as expected. All my classes were boring except for English and maths. Most people hate maths with a passion, but I kinda love it. I get B's and occasional A's.
I finally met Jason's girlfriend, Anna. She has long curly ginger hair and super faint dimples. She has a very bubbly personality which compliments Jason's.

She and I immediately clicked. I know some people may think it's weird for someone's ex-girlfriend to be friends with their current girlfriend, but we're all super chill about it.
Anna asked if I could tutor her in maths, since she and I are in the same class and she finds it overly difficult. Like, she doesn't even know what a quadratic trinomial is!! Like....seriously!!
"Wow! Your room is so pretty!" Anna gasps, once we walk in.
"Thanks! I decorated it myself!"
She places her dark blue flowered backpack on the ground and sits down on my bed.

"So what are you finding difficult?" I ask, pulling out my maths textbook from my bag.
"Emm....everything," we both laugh at her confession and start with the basics.
"Hopefully you know what one plus one is, right?"
"Yeah thre- I mean two!" she chuckles fiddling with the ripped fabric on her blue jeans.
This is gonna be harder than I thought.

A few hours later,
"I'm exhausted," Anna groans. She grabs the lime green scrunchie off her wrist and ties up her thick hair.
"We should take a break,"
I lay on the floor with my maths textbook hanging above my face by my hands. Anna gets down from my bed and lies on her stomach next to me with a smile on her face. She looks at me with a giddy expression which makes me nervous.
