------------------------------

I ask my dad if he could take down the black covers on the windows, but he told me not to push my luck. Only the front and back door were left uncovered, letting in a bit of light. Well as light as you can get in February.

I nod and went back up the stairs, with the floorboards creaking like they always do.

Once I am on my bed I have the urge to grab my phone but remember that I don't have it. Being grounded sucked.

This isn't my first time though, I was grounded a hell of a lot when I was younger.

I was a little troublemaker.

I decide to read the same book I had read a million times, 'Undercover Princess'. I know it sounds childish but trust me, it'll knock your socks off.

I walk over to my oak wood chest at the leg of my bed and grab an extra blanket.

I've had that blanket since I was a baby. The striped red and white pattern reminds me of candy canes....which I love.

Growing up I remember always braiding the tassels while I was trying to sleep. It sort of calmed me down. Kinda like counting sheep.

I cozy up on my window sill bed even thought the 'window' part was covered, and start on chapter 1...again.

-------------------------------------------

A few hours have passed and I'm starting to get extremely bored.

I've finished my English assignment, so I guess I should send it. I fold the corner of my book and toss it onto my desk without much care.

Wrapping my blanket over my head, I walk over to my computer, which my dad thankfully didn't take.

I mostly use it for school and studying, so there isn't much to do on it, besides texting on Skype.

As soon as I enter my password, I receive a million texts from Jason, things like:

Alex?

Are you okay?

I'm reallllyyyy sorrrrry!!!

ALEX? I'M SORRRYY!!

I hope your dad wasn't too mad. I just wanted to make sure you were safe.

Alex? Please!

I just roll my eyes and ignore them.

I know he did it because he cares, but SERIOUSLY!! If I was in any danger he would be the first to know. I knew deep down I would forgive him like how my parents forgave me. But you know what? I'm gonna make him sweat for a bit.

I read over my assignment one more time before sending it to my teacher. I take a deep breath and press send.

It's not that I want to win...OKAY, maybe I do wanna win. What I wrote took me ages to think up of, so I hope some good comes out of it.

I close my rose gold laptop and throw myself onto my bed.

"OUCH!" I yell.

I threw myself a little to hard on the bed that I fell off. I'm such a dork. Only I would do some weird crap like that.

I rub my butt and gently enter under my duvet. Within minutes I'm sound asleep.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I always take little naps during the days in February. There really isn't much to do at all, since we "aren't-allowed-to-go-outside."

When I wake up it was the middle of the night. I look over to my alarm clock and the time read *03:32 am.*

I reach for my bedside teal coloured lamp and sat up in my bed. I rub my eyes trying to rid the sleep from them.

I slowly stick one leg over my bed lazily and then the other.

I walk out of my room and down the stairs drunk with sleep. Everywhere is pitch black.

"SHIT!" I curse, stubbing my toe off of the kitchen table when I arrive. I grab my toe and massage it, trying to ease the pain.

I'm still cursing quietly to myself as I get myself a glass of water.

Taking my last sip something grabs my attention.

A sound of shuffling is coming from the living room.

*Thud*

It sounds like books falling to the ground.

My feet are glued to the tiled floor. I can't move, I use all my strength but I can't get myself to budge.

My chest rose and fell in an irregular pattern. My palms start to sweat and my breathing is shaky.

If the kitchen door wasn't closed I would be looking down that dark ass hallway, shitting myself.

What if it's February? The front door isn't covered, so he could've unlocked the door.

"He..hello?" my voice shaking.

No answer.

All I hear is more shuffling making me uneasy.

I muster up all my courage and slowly inch my way towards the kitchen door. My shaking hand reaches out to grab it when the doorknob starts to jiggle before I can touch it.

My hand jolts back in fear!

And I leap backward. I shit you not, I could've won an Olympic medal for my long jump. And I don't mean silver or bronze, no I mean FRICKING GOLD MEDAL! And when I say I jumped, I fricking jumped about 5 meters to the right...approximately.

The door suddenly swings open and I was greeted with a smirk.

Extra A/N

OMG! A CLIFF HANGER!! *I shout in an evil voice*

What do you think she sees...or who she sees.

Well, you'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out?

P.s. I know who it is.

Hope you enjoyed reading. Share this story with other Wattpadians...emm haha...I don't think that's right.

*Take 2* Share this with other Wattpad people?..okay I'm done.
