Feb POV
"Do you have to go back?" May pouts. My face goes soft as I look at her. A small smile plants it's way onto my lips. I just got back and know I'm leaving her for God knows how long.
I don't understand why the Elders let me off so easy for doing this. I thought they would be angrier than they were. It seems a bit suspicious to me, they're letting me go back to Earth which is great...but weird.
WAIT! THIS IS SO BAD! I CAN'T GO BACK TO EARTH! I WON'T EVEN LAST A DAY NOT TALKING TO HER. THIS IS GOING TO BE COMPLETE AND UTTER TORTURE!!!!!
"FEB!!" May shouts, interrupting my mini mind freak out.
I blink and look at her anger filled face. She has her hands on fer hips and her eyebrows are furrowed...a lot. She's clearly been trying to get my attention for a while.
"Sorry May...I'm gonna miss you a lot."
She puts down her hands from her hips and rests her face. I see tears welling up in her eyes as she looks down at her feet. A single tear falls to the ground darkening the wood by a few shades of brown.
She suddenly looks up, tears streaming down her rosy red cheeks. She wraps her arms around my torso and squeezes hard, trying hard not to sob.
"I'm sorry that I'm getting snot on your shirt!!" she cries, not letting go of me.
I kiss her forehead and kneel down to her level.
"May, I promise I'll be back soon okay?"
She sniffs and nods her head. Her dark-blue marble eyes twinkle at me causing me to smile a side smile.
"I have to go now..." I say after a few minutes of us just taking in each others presence.
"Okay," she sighs.
I stand up and grab my duffle bag that I never got the chance to unpack. She puts her small hand in mine and we walk out from the tree house.
Everyone stands beside the bark of the tree waiting for us to come down. They all stand in a uniform line from oldest to youngest.
May and I slowly make our way down the ladder together.
When we get down everyone looks at me with long faces. This is the first time that I'll be leaving right after my month...it's weird for me too.
May leaves my side and finds her place in the line. I reach into my pocket and pull out my ruby red couloured crystal. The other months form a circle around me with their bodies, in the middle of the clearing.
I throw my bag over my shoulder and close my eyes right after everyone else does. They all link their hands together and begin humming a melody.
I clutch onto the crystal tightly as they hum louder. The ground begins to glow a bright golden glow inside the circle. I take in a deep breathe and just like that...I begin to teleport back to Earth.

When I open my eyes I'm greeted with a crescent moon illuminating the night sky. I look around my surroundings and see familiar scenery. The dark green trees, the lime green grass and the flowers that are starting to bloom. In the distance I spot the Earth tree house and I begin to make my way over.
