Alex's POV

I take in all the different colours and sounds around me all at once, while breathing in deeply.

This is unbelievable, from the crisp green grass to the cool breeze on my skin. This is something I would only ever see in my wildest dreams.

"This is- And it's just-," I struggle to form a sentence while Feb smirks at me. His back is up against the trunk of a palm tree while he watches my head dart left and right.

"Pretty cool huh?" he smiles.

"Pretty cool? PRETTY COOL?! No Feb, ferris wheels are pretty cool. Brooklyn Bridge is pretty COOL. MULAN IS PRETTY FRICKEN COOL!! This," I turn gesturing to the environment, "is...something else all together."

The sun slowly begins to set as we trudge out from the forest. The sky is painted beautifully like a canvas. Purples, blues, oranges and yellows, all blending together, painting the sky.

Once we're on the beach I stare out into the horizon in awe. Just then I glance up and notice that there isn't a single star in the almost night sky.

"Feb? Where are all the stars? Shouldn't they be appearing by now?" I ask turning to him.

"No, Stella isn't out yet."

Am I supposed to know who Stella is? I furrow my eyebrows and sit down on the sand while asking who she is.

"It's her job to wake up the stars," he says, sitting beside me.

"Wake them up?"

"They...emm...shut off," he explains, trying to find the right word, "during the day."

I nod my head slowly and resume looking at the sky. The waves flow gently against the shore in a steady rhythm and I wrap my arms around my legs.

I suddenly notice February inching closer to me, trying his hardest to be subtle. I turn my head to him and watch as he studies my face.

A genuine smile gradually grows on his lips...his lips. His eyes, his deep emerald green eyes seem to lure me in all the time. Like a predictor luring in it's prey.

We both slowly begin to move in...almost....almost....ALMOST...ALM-

"FEBBY!!!"

I jolt away from Feb and watch as a little girl in a long pastel pink short-sleeved top, going all the way down to her ankles sprints towards us. Her bubblegum pink hair flows behind her gracefully as she runs.

February turns to me and gives me an apologetic look. He stands up and dusts the sand off of his black jeans.

She jumps into his arms and he catches her with ease. He spins her around and she squeals with delight.

"I didn't know what time you were going to come back and I just came out here for a walk and I'm glad I did and I'm so happy you're here and...and..." her eyes fall on me.

Feb puts her down and she stares at me with wonder.

"Who's she? She's pretty," she whispers to February, cupping her hands near her mouth.
